BRIC is pleased to announce free programming for its spring 2016 season at BRIC Arts | Media House, the organization's 40,000SF home in Downtown Brooklyn. The season includes over 30 free events including film, art, and creative workshops. BRIC is the leading presenter of free cultural programming in Brooklyn, and one of the largest in New York City. With offerings ranging from evening concerts to daytime family programming, BRIC House has quickly become one of New York City's most inviting and accessible spaces to experience the arts.

While 'Lee Daniels' The Butler' is generating Oscar buzz for its chronicle of several decades of African- American political life, two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright August Wilson masterfully documented a full century of the African-American experience in the 10 plays the make up the American Century Cycle. These works, nine of which have been staged on Broadway with stars including Denzel Washington, Viola Davis, Charles Dutton, among many others, showed the suffering, joys, and triumphs of African-Americans through searing, poetic and personal stories of everyday people in Pittsburgh, PA.

Back for its sixth summer, the Fordham Alumni Company will for the first time host a weekend of film screenings created by Fordham Alumni. The sister program to the company's FRESH ART festival the weekend before, The CANNED Art weekend showcases work Fordham Alumni have finished creating, saved for prosperity in the can. A variety of feature length and short films, documentaries, as well as web-series and sketches will be shown. All screenings will be presented at the Wild Project (195 E. 3rd St., NYC). Admission is $5 per film. In addition, audience members can purchase a $12 “RamPass” to see 3 or more films. To purchase tickets in advance visit www.thewildproject.com. Web Series '80/20' Now Released Online

Sunnyside Films and Windrider Entertainment present the brand new web series "80/20" co-created, written and starring Vayu O'Donnell (Golden Boy, Man and Boy) and Christopher Oscar Peña with music by Evan Olson, whose music has been featured on "Sex And The City," "Law & Order," "Ugly Betty," "Friday Night Lights" and MTV's "The Hills." The web series has been accepted into LAWEBFEST, which will take place later this month as well as the New Media Film Festival which will take place in June.
