While the situations presented by playwright Geoffrey Nauffts in his drama Next Fall are certainly realistic, the evening suffers from a steady feeling of contrivance as the storytelling pieces fall too neatly into place and a nagging sense that the playwright has avoided certain obvious issues that would add some needed depth to the piece.

The newly launched Summer Solos Series (Scott Morfee and Darren Lee Cole, producers), a celebration of the best in solo performance and shows by acclaimed playwrights and performers, presents a one-night only return performance of the critically acclaimed Off Broadway hit, Nilaja Sun's No Child..., on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street). Immediately following the performance there will be a brief reception with the artist in the Huron Club, located inside the Soho Playhouse.

The producers and cast of The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) have dedicated the one-night-only benefit performance on Wednesday, July 8 at 7:30pm to the memory of Lovette George, who starred in the original off Broadway production and died in September, 2006 from ovarian cancer, at the age of 44. The benefit will be presented at The York Theatre Company in Saint Peter's Church, (54th Street and Lexington Avenue).

Gregory Jbara is a 2009 Tony Award nominee for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for his emotional and inspired work in Billy Elliot the Musical. This is Gregory Jbara's first Tony nomination. He originated the role of André Thirbault in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and has performed on Broadway in Victor/Victoria and the 1994 revival of Damn Yankees!
