Reprise Theatre Company's production of 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,' 1962's Tony-Award-winning Best Musical, will play its final performance on March 28 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. Legendary funnyman Mel Brooks is set to be a featured guest at the TCM Classic Film Festival in April. As part of the festivities, TCM will partner with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce as they honor Brooks with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which marks its 50th anniversary this year. Brooks will also introduce a festival screening of his first feature film, The Producers (1968), which earned Brooks an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

The winners of the 2009 Directors Guild of America Outstanding Directorial Achievement Awards and the recipients of the Guild's 2010 Career Achievement Awards were announced last night during the 62nd Annual DGA Awards Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles. Kathryn Bigelow won the DGA's Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for The Hurt Locker. Following the welcome by DGA President Taylor Hackford to an audience of more than 1,600 guests, director/actor Carl Reiner hosted the ceremony.

Tony Cacciotti, Chase Mishkin, David Steiner and Leonard Soloway announced today that Valerie Harper will return to Broadway this spring in Matthew Lombardo's new comedy Looped, directed by Rob Ruggiero. It will play the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street). Previews begin on February 19 and opening night is Sunday March 14.
