Walnut Street Theatre today annonuced that it will celebrate multiple honorees this year with the 2012 Edwin Forrest Award at its landmark 203rd Anniversary Gala.
Florida State Theatre will be moving 'Shake Rattle & Roll' into the Gompertz theatre to allow it a 2-week extension. It ends performances in the Cabaret on March 25, 2012, and will continue from March 27 - April 7 in the Gompertz.

On April 11, for the first time ever, BUDDY - THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY will play at America's longest running professional theater, the Alhambra Theatre & Dining, giving the Jacksonville market a chance to learn about and celebrate the life of the man who changed music forever. Starring in the performance is Tod Meredith, a ten-time veteran of The Buddy Story, who has portrayed Buddy Holly across the United States.
Dog & Pony Theatre Company announces its two latest works: THE DINNER PARTY PROJECT, a one-night only performance April 17 at Ada Street restaurant that incorporates a three-course meal from celebrated chef Michael Kornick of DMK Burger Bar and Fish Bar; and THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING, a world premiere play with music that offers a look at the Democratic National Convention of 1968 in Chicago May 4-June 9 at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater.
Capitalizing on the rave reviews of its initial debut as "The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Tour" in 2010, the touring production has been enhanced to capture the imaginations and interests of all types of fans including Broadway, concert and Elvis aficionados. Just as the 2012 presidential race heats up,International City Theatre (ICT) presents the West Coast premiere of a hard-boiled, darkly comic, Olivier Award-nominated rock musical about the American political machine. With book and lyrics by John Dempsey and music by Dana P. Rowe, The Fix begins a four-week run on April 27 at International City Theatre in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Randy Brenner is at the helm, with musical direction by Darryl Archibald, choreography by Heather Castillo, and Sal Mistretta reprising his Helen Hayes Award-winning role as Uncle Grahame. Low-priced previews take place on April 24, 25 and 26.

The Ogunquit Playhouse, America's Foremost Summer Theatre, is set to celebrate its 80th Anniversary season May 23 to October 21, 2012. The lineup offers a mix of Broadway's most enduring musical classics, along with some of the hottest new shows on stage today.
