Performances began on Wednesday, April 14, and the official opening night was Monday evening, April 19. David Galligan directs the 12-week limited engagement. West 43rd Street will become a little pinker, as will the Easter Parade (and all of New York City in general) when the actor Leslie Jordan arrives to bring his acclaimed solo show, My Trip Down The Pink Carpet, to the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street) this Spring. Producer Bruce Robert Harris announced that performances will begin on Wednesday, April 15, with an official opening night set for Monday evening, April 20. David Galligan directs the 6-week limited engagement.

On May 15th David Brendan Hopes play 'Edward The King' kicked off Gayfest NYC. The play features Jo Ann Cunningham, Chad Hoeppner, Megan McQuillan, Patrick Porter and Brian Charles Rooney. It is directed by Sidney J. Burgoyne and runs at the TBG Arts Center, 312 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor through May 24th.

On April 14, 2008 GAYFEST NYC hosted a major fundraising event as a kick-off for this year's Festival and a benefit for the Harvey Milk High School scholarship fund. The evening included a performance by Emmy Award-winning actor Leslie Jordan and was be held at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street, New York, NY 10036, with a reception following.

Ragtime, a brand new concert staging of the epic Tony Award-winning musical and the inaugural production of the Broadway in Concert series at the White Plains Performing Arts Center, performs February 1-3, 2008.

Dennis Grimaldi Productions and GAYFEST NYC 2007 (Bruce Robert Harris and Jack W. Batman, producers) are presenting the New York premiere of the musical A Kiss From Alexander.
