In celebration of 35 years presenting the best of Broadway to Atlanta audiences, Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta is now offering Atlanta audiences the opportunity to experience three Broadway sensations from its expanded 2015/2016 Blockbuster season. PIPPIN will play a limited engagement at The Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, TN November 17 - 22. Tennessee Shakespeare Company, in partnership with the University of Memphis' Department of Theatre & Dance, presents its third and final developing musical reading on the University of Memphis mainstage with The Oliver Experiment by Jeremy Desmon and Jeff Thomson on August 15 at 7:00 pm.

In a new interview with the Miami Herald, legendary Florida publicist Charlie Cinnamon has opened up about what originally drew him to Broadway.

The Balancing Act, the award-winning morning show on the Lifetime Channel, is excited to announce that it has begun shooting the second season of its six-part series, "Broadway Balances America," sponsored by Broadway Across America.  The season will launch in August, 2015.

Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Tony and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots) debuts at the Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave., downtown Minneapolis) tonight, July 28-Aug. 2, 2015 as the final production in the 2014-2015 Thrivent Financial Broadway on Hennepin Season. Broadway and Australian stage vet Anthony Warlow will return to Broadway when he steps into the roles of 'Charles Frohman' and 'Captain Hook', beginning today, July 10. Warlow will remain in the show until September 13, when Kelsey Grammer, who originated the role on Broadway, returns as Captain of the pirate ship.

The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and ASU Gammage announced today that single tickets will go on sale Monday, August 3 at 10 am. Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts announced today that individual tickets for the Raleigh premiere of Dirty Dancing -- The Classic Story On Stage will go on sale July 20 at 10 a.m.

We reported it first last week, and now it's official as word is just in that Broadway and Australian stage vet Anthony Warlow will return to Broadway this summer when he steps into the roles of "Charles Frohman" and "Captain Hook" in mid-July. There is still no word on the star's exact start date, or the reason for Kelsey Grammer's temporary departure. Warlow will remain in the show until September 13, when Kelsey Grammer, who originated the role on Broadway, returns as Captain of the pirate ship.

I LOVE LUCY - LIVE ON STAGE is probably best suited for audiences that already consider themselves Lucy fans. While those who aren't necessarily fans will likely still enjoy the show, I don't think that they will appreciate this production nearly as much as if they grew up with Lucy and Desi coming into their living rooms once a week.

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced this week that Abby Mueller has nabbed the title role in the First National Tour of BEAUTIFUL -- THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter. Mueller's sister, Jessie Mueller, won the Tony Award in 2014 Best Actress in a Musical her portrayal of King in the show's Broadway production.
