Sixteen years after opening the Northwest office of what is now Broadway Across America - Seattle, Drew Murphy returns to Seattle as Vice President, Broadway Across America, West Coast, directing business for the Broadway series in Seattle, Portland, OR and Costa Mesa, CA. Before assuming this position, Mr. Murphy served as President of Broadway Across America - Boston, where he programmed more than 15 weeks of productions each year and oversaw operations of three major theatres, including the Boston Opera House.

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is preparing to kick off its biggest season next month and is proud to unveil the on sale dates for tickets to the 2010/11 Season. Highlights include two blockbuster engagements with the Wisconsin premiere of Broadway's smash-hit musical Jersey Boys and a much anticipated return engagement of WICKED.

The producers of the Tony Award-winning production of PROMISES, PROMISES are thrilled to announce that Tony and Emmy Award winner and 2010 Emmy nominee Kristin Chenoweth has extended her run in the smash hit musical comedy for three additional months. Kristin Chenoweth and her Tony-nominated and Emmy Award-winning co-star Sean Hayes will play their final performance together in PROMISES, PROMISES on Sunday, December 26, 2010.

The Louisville premiere engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS, the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, plays the Kentucky Center through August 15, 2010.

The Salt Lake City premiere of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Friday, August 13 at 8:00pm at the Capitol Theatre for a limited engagement of seven weeks through Sunday, September 26.

Tickets for HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Hair will run in the Kennedy Center Opera House for a limited engagement October 26, 2010 through November 21, 2010. After breaking box office records and selling out its entire run in record time both in 2006 and 2008, Wicked, the smash hit musical, makes its much-anticipated return to Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum Theatre, Wednesday, August 11-Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010.

Yesterday, August 8, Grammy-winning country music star Larry Gatlin took the stage of the Nederlander Theatre to join the cast of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET in a special performance of the song 'Johnny Cash is Dead and His House Burned Down,' a song written in tribute to Cash who was a friend of Gatlin's. In addition, Gatlin wrote songs that were recorded by Cash, Elvis Presley, and Carl Perkins, three of the members of the real Million Dollar Quartet. CAPA today announced its season lineup for 2010-11. Highlights include the return of Columbus' favorite saxophonist extraordinaire, Dave Koz, and the ever-popular, riotous comedy of The Second City. Columbus debuts include acoustic guitarist Benise who brings his lavish stage production, The Spanish Guitar, to the Palace Theatre; DRUMLINE LIVE,a show-style marching band showcase based on the film Drumline; and world-renowned, contemporary ballet company, Complexions.

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held daily for WICKED, which will be performing from July 14- August 8 at the Marcus Center. Each day, 2½ hours prior to show time people who present themselves at the Marcus Center Box Office will have their names placed in a lottery drum and then thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only.

PS CLASSICS, the label dedicated to the heritage of Broadway and American popular song, will record the New Broadway Cast Recording for the 2010 Tony Award-winning production of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES on August 5 and 6 for a September 28 release.

Douglas Hodge, who won a 2010 Tony Award for his critically acclaimed performance as Albin in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, will extend his run for an additional six months in the smash hit Tony Award-winning revival at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street). Hodge and five-time Emmy Award-winner Kelsey Grammer will keep their love alive as Albin and Georges in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES until February 13, 2011, when both actors will depart the production.
