Murphy Returns to 'Broadway Across America'

Sixteen years after opening the Northwest office of what is now Broadway Across America - Seattle, Drew Murphy returns to Seattle as Vice President, Broadway Across America, West Coast, directing business for the Broadway series in Seattle, Portland, OR and Costa Mesa, CA. Before assuming this position, Mr. Murphy served as President of Broadway Across America - Boston, where he programmed more than 15 weeks of productions each year and oversaw operations of three major theatres, including the Boston Opera House.

Yesterday, August 8, Grammy-winning country music star Larry Gatlin took the stage of the Nederlander Theatre to join the cast of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET in a special performance of the song 'Johnny Cash is Dead and His House Burned Down,' a song written in tribute to Cash who was a friend of Gatlin's. In addition, Gatlin wrote songs that were recorded by Cash, Elvis Presley, and Carl Perkins, three of the members of the real Million Dollar Quartet. Marcus Center For The Performing Arts Offers Lottery Seats For WICKED 7/14-8/8

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held daily for WICKED, which will be performing from July 14- August 8 at the Marcus Center. Each day, 2½ hours prior to show time people who present themselves at the Marcus Center Box Office will have their names placed in a lottery drum and then thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only.

Douglas Hodge, who won a 2010 Tony Award for his critically acclaimed performance as Albin in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, will extend his run for an additional six months in the smash hit Tony Award-winning revival at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street).
