Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow's non-profit organization, the Manilow Music Project, will put musical instruments into the hands of Clark County School District middle and high school students beginning with a major donation this Fall.

John Mellencamp and his band are set to embark on the first leg of the No Better Than This Tour in late October following the August 17 release of his Rounder Records debut album, No Better Than This. The tour, designed as a uniquely formatted 'evening with,' brings Mellencamp's music to theater-sized venues, a rare opportunity to experience one of America's most iconic songwriters and performers in an intimate setting, highlighting all phases of his artistry.

As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, GLEE will feature a Britney Spears tribute episode in its second season, premiering September 21, 2010 on FOX. Says GLEE star Lea Michele of the episode: it's '15 music videos inside this episode, very much like the Madonna [tribute episode].' Heather Morris, who plays 'Brittany' on the show, will be playing Britney Spears in a dream sequence. To date, however, GLEE execs were mum on whether or not Spears herself would be making a cameo in the episode. Series creator Ryan Murphy has finally spilled the beans and revealed on Ryan Seacrest's radio show today that - yes - Spears would be appearing on the show.

Heralded by critics and fans alike, Manilow will perform 27 new performance dates, from September 24th- January 16th. Tickets for Manilow's new, reimagined stage show that is both more intimate and more exciting than ever before go on sale Saturday, August 7th at 10am (PST). Manilow is currently performing 78 shows a year for two years at the Paris Théâtre at Paris Las Vegas. The shows are produced by STILETTO Entertainment in conjunction with AEG Live and Paris Las Vegas.

Rocker and winner of NBC's 'The Celebrity Apprentice,' Bret Michaels, and hit-making Mercury Recording artist Taio Cruz from the U.K. will perform on the next live results show of NBC's 'America's Got Talent' on Wednesday, August 4 (9-10 p.m. ET).

Zap2it reports on some upcoming GLEE details, shared by executive producer/creator Ryan Murphy at a press conference today. On upcoming guest directors, Murphy reveals: 'Adam Shankman is doing one, I think that's great. I think he's doing Episode 8 or 9 of the first 10.' As for future GLEE-helmers, he says, 'I'm just now getting calls from big movie directors who love the show. I can't say who they are obviously. I have talked to Baz Luhrmann about it. I love him and he loves the show, but his schedule is so crazy.'
