Next up in Kansas City Repertory Theatre's 2018/2019 season is the multiple award-winning and much-heralded production, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE written by Kate Hamill, directed by KCRep's recently-departed Associate Artistic Director, Marissa Wolf, and based on the novel by Jane Austen. Hamill's hilarious, gender-bending reimagining of arguably Austen's most beloved book, runs March 22 - April 14, 2019, at Spencer Theatre on the UMKC campus.

Queens-based Rude Grooms (www.rudegrooms.com) announced details for their production of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, led by actor-manager Montgomery Sutton (Twelfth Night at Shakespeare's Globe; Much Ado About Nothing with Rude Grooms), produced in partnership with Long Island City Artists at the Plaxall Gallery and sponsored by Mikkeller Brewing NYC. The show runs January 4-6 at the Plaxall Gallery (5-25 46th Avenue, LIC) at 7:30pm, with a Twelfth Night Party beginning at 6:30pm each night for VIP ticket holders featuring a variety of musical guests to be announced in the coming days. This Friday, November 30th at 9:30 pm brings the Spotlight Theatre Company's celebration of Broadway's premier composers Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty to The Green Room 42, 570 Tenth Avenue 4th Floor (YOTEL) NYC!  Directed by Jacques Stewart, with Musical Direction by Phil Hall, Why We Tell the Story is an evening of Broadway highlights from Ragtime, Seussical, Once On This Island, Rocky, Anastasia, The Glorious Ones, A Man Of No Importance, Lucky Stiff and My Favorite Year. 

The ShakesBEER pub-crawl is a fall happening, and like the other programs by New York Shakespeare Exchange, it is entertaining and captivating. The presentations were held on three consecutive Saturday afternoons on 9/15, 9/22, and 9/29.
