Spotlight Theatre Company To Celebrate Ahrens and Flaherty

This Friday, November 30th at 9:30 pm brings the Spotlight Theatre Company's celebration of Broadway's premier composers Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty to The Green Room 42, 570 Tenth Avenue 4th Floor (YOTEL) NYC! Directed by Jacques Stewart, with Musical Direction by Phil Hall, Why We Tell the Story is an evening of Broadway highlights from Ragtime, Seussical, Once On This Island, Rocky, Anastasia, The Glorious Ones, A Man Of No Importance, Lucky Stiff and My Favorite Year.

Featuring nine dynamic performers including Mary Lee Marson Aloia, Mark Bradley Miller, Max Joseph, Robert Koutras, Krystle Adams, Robert Fowler, Samantha Schiffman, Brian Demar Jones and Rose Van Dyne with Melanie Baker (violin), Zach Sicherman (bass), Adrian Daurov (cello), Doug Hinrichs (drums / percussion) and Phil Hall (piano).

Songs include "Journey To The Past," "Once Upon A December," "My Petersburg," and "The Countess And The Common Man" from Anastasia; "Journey On," "Make Them Hear You," "Wheels Of A Dream," "Your Daddy's Son," "Back To Before," "The Crime Of The Century," and "The Night That Goldman Spoke In Union Square" from Ragtime; "Raining" from Rocky; "We Dance," "Waiting For Life," "Rain," "Forever Yours, "The Human Heart," "Some Say", "Mama Will Provide, and "Why We Tell The Story" from Once On This Island; "I Was Here" from The Glorious Ones; "Streets of Dublin", "The Burden Of Life," "Love Who You Love" from A Man Of No Importance; "Oh, The Thinks You Can Think" and "Alone In The Universe" from Seussical; "At Times Like This" from Lucky Stiff; and "Larger Than Life and Twenty Million People" from My Favorite Year.
