'Walmartopia' to Close Off-Broadway December 30th

Walmartopia, the new musical currently playing Off-Broadway at The Minetta Lane Theatre, will end its current run at the Minetta Lane Theatre after the evening performance on Sunday, December 30th, it was announced today by the show's producers.

The cast and band of Off-Broadway's Walmartopia recently hit the recording studio to lay down tracks for the show's original cast recording. The recording will be produced by Walmartopia's musical director, August Eriksmoen, and will be released December 1st, just in time for the holidays.

Sonnet Repertory Theatre (SRT) announces the lineup for 'Sonnet Sings: The Bard,' the company's annual benefit event. Scheduled performers include: two time Tony-nominated actor Terrence Mann and Tony award-winning and Grammy award-nominated composer Duncan Sheik, performing their original songs, in addition to Will Chase, Bradley Dean, Brian D'Arcy James, David Miller, Brandon Wardell, Q.
