TONY N' TINA'S WEDDING to Feature Local Actors 1/20-30

Direct from New York, Tony N' Tina's Wedding, the longest running Off-Broadway comedy in history, comes to Columbus. As Tony and Tina exchange vows, the audience plays the part of family and friends joining them for the reception feast and the hilarious family drama which ensues.

'Punked' - Castle and Beckett look into the murder of a young mathematician gunned down with a 200-year-old bullet, sparking some wild theories by Castle about a time-travelling killer. When their investigation uncovers a tricked-out DeLorean and a suspect in Victorian clothing, is it possible Castle's crazy idea has some validity? This winding tale twists through the towers of Wall Street and into the world of a secret steampunk society that embraces the romance and simplicity of the past, while coupling it with the hope and promise of the future, on 'Castle,' MONDAY, DECEMBER 13 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. CASTLE Preview: December 20 on ABC

First, in 'A Deadly Game,' nothing is as it seems when Castle and Beckett investigate what appears to be the assassination of an intelligence operative. Meanwhile, Beckett's romance with Demming threatens her relationship with Castle, forcing them to confront their feelings for each other. Stephen J. Clayton Cornelious as Caterpillar, Jose Llana (Spelling Bee, Flower Drum Song) as El Gato, Karen Mason (Hairspray, Mamma Mia!) as Queen of Hearts, Kate Shindle (Legally Blonde, Cabaret, Jekyll and Hyde) as Mad Hatter, Carly Rose Sonenclar (Les Miserables, Little House on the Prairie) as Chloe and Edward Staudenmayer (Spamalot, Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me) as White Rabbit. With a book by Gregory Boyd and Jack Murphy, lyrics by Jack Murphy, music by Frank Wildhorn, choreography by Marguerite Derricks and direction by Gregory Boyd, WONDERLAND will open at Broadway's Marquis Theatre on Sunday, April 17, 2011, and performances will begin Monday, March 21.

Photo Coverage: Chita Rivera Plays Birdland!

A winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and a national treasure, Chita Rivera made her annual pilgrimage to Birdland for four very special concerts this past weekend. Of course, the theatrical community showed up to celebrate the ultimate singer/dancer, including Cherry Jones, Stephanie J. Block, Phyllis Newman, Tommy Tune, John McDaniel, David Cromer, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Billy Stritch, Rob Bowman, Louis St. Louis, Gerald McCullouch, Valarie Pettiford, Erich Bergen, Eric Ulloa, and Women on the Verge cast members Laura Benanti, Nikka Lanzarone, Justin Guarini, and Mary Beth Peil. The concerts were part of the Broadway at Birdland series, which celebrate performers and composers from the Great White Way.

LA'S NEXT GREAT STAGE STAR Announces Audition Dates, 12/11-12

Studio City's Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's, the most critically acclaimed, award-winning supper club of its kind in the greater Los Angeles area, has set Saturday December 11 and Sunday, December 12 as audition dates for the fifth anniversary of LA's Next Great Stage Star, it was announced today by producers Michael Sterling and Tony Monsour of of Michael Sterling & Associates (www.msapr.net). As of Wednesday, December 1, potential contestants may call Michael Sterling & Associates at 818 623-7300, Ext. 2 to schedule an audition appointment.

Cygnet Presents ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, 11/1 & 8

Artistic Director Sean Murray is pleased to announce a concert staged reading of the hilarious and rarely performed musical, ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY, with book and lyrics by Betty Comdon and Adolph Green and music by Cy Coleman. The delightfully comedic romp will be performed free to attendees of Cygnet Theatre's Mini-Benefit, with proceeds supporting the Storytelling on the Green Program. The Mini-Benefit and Concert Reading will be presented TWO NIGHTS ONLY on Mondays, November 1st and 8th at Cygnet Theatre in Old Town. The Mini-Benefit begins at 6:30pm and the Concert Reading begins at 7:30pm.
