Riant Theatre's Strawberry One-Act Festival to Present LGBT Program This Week

The Riant Theatre's Strawberry One-Act Festival  will host a special LGBT program spotlighting noted African American gay themed films 'Love for Passion' by Nathan Hale Williams and'The Strange Thing About the Johnsons' by Ari Aster together with the play 'Tricks' by Hispanic playwright Byrant Hernandez and directed by Van Dirk Fisher  at Tato Laviera Theatre, 240 East 123rd St on Wednesday, August 19th at 9pm and at the Poet's Den Theatre, 309 East 108th Street on Saturday, August 22nd at 3pm.

Sequel to Del Shores' Smash Cult Hit SORDID LIVES Announced

Award-winning Writer/Director/Producer Del Shores (Southern Baptist Sissies, 'Queer As Folk', Blues For Willadean) has announced that his next feature film project will be A Very Sordid Wedding, a sequel to his 2001 gay cult classic film Sordid Lives.

John Corbett Will Return to NBC's PARENTHOOD

According to TV Guide, the actor, who played Lauren Graham's ex-husband, will appear in the thirteenth episode. Seth (Corbett) appears after being unaware that 'his daughter Amber (Mae Whitman) stops by the restaurant where he works and ends up getting into an argument with another patron. Perhaps Amber is going to Seth looking for advice about her troubled relationship with Ryan (Matt Lauria)? In last week's episode, he ended up in the slammer after getting in a fight at a bar.'

SORDID LIVES Author Del Shores Appears at Opening Night of Denver Production Tonight

Illumination Theatre Productions' opening night performance of SORDID LIVES will include a special appearance by the play's author Del Shores. Shores, an award-winning producer, writer, director and actor, will attend the opening night performance at 7:30 p.m., tonight, July 26 at the John Hand Theatre, 7653 E. 1st Place, Denver. The show will be followed by a VIP reception where audience members will have a chance to meet and visit with the author.
