The Old Globe today announced Tony and Emmy Award winner Hal Linden ('Barney Miller,' The Rothschilds) will star in the West Coast Premiere of The Twenty-seventh Man by award-winning novelist Nathan Englander, directed by Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein. The cast also features Ron Orbach, Robert Dorfman, Eli Gelb, James Shanklin, and Lowell Byers. The Twenty-seventh Man will run February 14 through March 15 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run February 14-18. Opening night is Thursday, February 19 at 8:00 p.m. Single tickets go on sale Friday, January 16. FOX News Channel (FNC) will present the film KILLING LINCOLN on Tuesday, December 30th from 9-11PM/ET. Prior to the two-hour feature, Bill O'Reilly will host a special edition of The O'Reilly Factor from 8-9PM/ET

Produced by Riva Di Paola and Lucas Dixon, the show will be directed by Alexis Jacknow and stars Lucas Dixon (Yale MFA), Graham Outerbridge (A.C.T. MFA) and Kahyun Kim (Julliard BFA). The show runs tonight, November 21st - Sunday, December 14th, 2014.

This free-of-charge tour of a professional production of Shakespeare will allow the theatre to serve more communities throughout San Diego by collaborating with a diverse range of local organizations. Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein directs the first production, Shakespeare's fascinating romance All's Well That Ends Well. He has cast local professional actors, including recent graduates of the Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program. The Old Globe will present a one-night-only event, Barry Edelstein In Conversation with Nathan Englander, on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. This special discussion will reunite Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein and award-winning playwright and novelist Nathan Englander, whose play The Twenty-seventh Man, about a group of writers imprisoned in Soviet Russia under mysterious circumstances, makes its West Coast premiere at The Old Globe in February, directed once again by Edelstein. The event will explore the evolution of the play; its fascinating historical setting; Englander's work in fiction versus theatre; and literature's place in modern American culture.

The Old Globe today announced two of the stars of Shakespeare's classic tragedy Othello, the first show of the Globe's 2014 Summer Shakespeare Festival. Making their Globe debuts are Emmy Award-winner Richard Thomas ('The Americans,' 'The Waltons') as Iago and Kristen Connolly ('House of Cards,' The Cabin in the Woods) as Desdemona. Both artists continue collaborations with Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein that began in New York: Thomas starred in Edelstein's critically acclaimed production of Timon of Athens at The Public Theater in 2011, and Connolly in three Shakespeare plays that Edelstein helped produce at The Public. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
