Last night, legendary actor Bill Murray made a trip back to Punxsutawney as he attended Groundhog Day on Broadway for the first time. Murray starred as Phil Connors in the 1993 film which the musical is based on.

The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center of Palo Alto proudly presents the stellar line-up for its Fall 2017-2018 Arts & Dialogues series, featuring world-renowned musicians, artists, and a host of fascinating thinkers, doers, and innovators. Beginning in September and continuing through December, the OFJCC will host spectacular performances from globally acclaimed instrumentalists such as Israeli cellist Amit Peled and Yeshiva University's The Maccabeats a cappella phenomena. The Jazz Giants series will have audience members swaying along to the mesmerizing sounds of trumpeter Avishai Cohen, and the infectious rhythms of multi-award-winning jazz pianist Kenny Barron. Families will love the whimsical and interactive Amazing Bubble Man, and the much-anticipated return of Opera for Families provides an enriching introduction to the art form for youth of all ages. In December, acclaimed actor Bill Murray will charm audiences with his unique brand of wit in a rare live performance with distinguished German cellist Jan Vogler, in a one-of-a-kind experience combining literature and classical music.
Kimmel Center Announces New Events for the 2017-18 Season

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts announces over 20 newly booked events to accompany the already-announced 2017-18 season. Highlights include internationally-acclaimed stars of rock, comedy, dance, and even politics as well as Tony Award-nominated Broadway titles. Tickets for these shows are on sale now to Kimmel Center members and will be available to the general public on September 9. Membership starts at $75 and guarantees access to the best seats. The below shows are in addition to the previously announced lineup including over 40 shows.

ABC's JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE returns to Brooklyn, New York, for five original shows starting MONDAY, OCTOBER 16. The show will tape before a live audience from the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Howard Gilman Opera House. This will be the third time that Kimmel and his show have broadcast from BAM.

A lineup of leading performers, including Jimmy Kimmel, Steve Martin, John Mulaney, Bill Murray, Paul Shaffer, Martin Short, Sarah Silverman, Eddie Vedder, and others will salute David Letterman at the 20th annual Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 8 p.m. The 20th Anniversary program will pay tribute to the humor and accomplishments of Letterman, and will be taped by WETA Washington, D.C. The program will air on PBS stations as David Letterman: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize nationwide on Monday, November 20 at 9 p.m. (check local listings). Artists are subject to change.
