Please note that our Ken Price and Terry Smith exhibitions are only on view through Sunday, August 18, 2013. In the Main Gallery and Drawing Room, Ken Price: Slow and Steady Wins the Race, Works on Paper 1962–2010 is the first comprehensive survey of drawings by the sculptor Ken Price (1935–2012). A Los Angeles and Taos–based sculptor, Price sustained a quiet storm of intense creativity with drawing that until recently remained under the art world's radar. A selection of 65 works on paper tracks Price's dedication to drawing for more than 50 years and demonstrates a wide range of characters and techniques. Ken Price: Slow and Steady Wins the Race, Works on Paper 1962–2010 will travel to Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, New York, from September 27, 2013–January 19, 2014 and the Harwood Museum of Art, Taos, New Mexico from February 22–May 4, 2014.
Please join The Drawing Center on Tuesday, June 18 from 6-9pm for the opening reception of our Ken Price and Terry Smith exhibitions at 35 Wooster Street. No RSVP is required.
