BABY IT'S YOU Lawsuit Settled by Warner Bros.

In April, a complaint was filed seeking damages on behalf of world-famous performers Beverly Lee of The Shirelles, Dionne Warwick and Chuck Jackson, as well as the Estates of Doris Coley Jackson and Addie Harris Jackson, for the unauthorized use of their names and likenesses in BABY IT'S YOU. The case, Lee et al. v. Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures Inc. et al., was filed in the Southern District of New York.

Kate Clinton, Paul Rudnick Set For Standing On Ceremony Talkback

Producers Joan Stein and Richard Frankel announced today that Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays will welcome Award-winning comedian Kate Clinton and playwright Paul Rudnick (who is receiving rave reviews for his Standing On Ceremony short plays "My Husband" and "The Gay Agenda") for a post-performance Q&A following the 8:00 PM performance on Wednesday, December 7 at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane).

TV EXCLUSIVE: GYPSY OF THE YEAR - Original Cast of GREASE Highlights

The opening number featured the original Broadway cast of Grease reuniting for a special 40-year anniversary tribute. Among the stars returning to the stage from one of the most popular musicals in Broadway history are Barry Bostwick (Danny), Carole Demas (Sandy), Adrienne Barbeau (Betty Rizzo), Alan Paul (Teen Angel/Johnny Casino) and Walter Bobbie (Roger). Also joining the opening number reunion are original cast members Don Billett (Vince Fontaine), James Canning (Doody), Daniel Douglas (Burger Palace Boy), Katie Hanley (Marty), Tom Harris (Eugene Florczyk ), Ilene Kristen (Patty Simcox), Joy Rinaldi (Pink Lady) and Mews Small (Frenchy). Grease, with book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and WarRen Casey, garnered seven Tony Award nominations and played 3,388 Broadway performances before closing April 13, 1980.

STANDING ON CEREMONY to Conclude Off-Broadway Run 12/18

Producers Joan Stein and Richard Frankel announced today that the Off Broadway premiere production of Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays will play its final performance at the Minetta Lane Theatre on Sunday, December 18. The show will have played 7 preview performances and 41 regular performances. The producers then plan to take the play, which opened to an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from critics and audiences alike on November 13, 2011, to markets where marriage equality is not yet a reality, in an effort to help invigorate audience members in battleground states and raise money for marriage equality organizations.

Stars of ELF, which opened on Broadway in November 2010 and concluded its limited run in January 2011, are set to perform numbers from the show at the Upper East Side Barnes & Noble on December 5 to celebrate the release ofthe cast album.
