2014 Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Award Winners Announced!

Last night, June 20, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the winners of the 41st Annual Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards in a sold-out, grand gala for over 1,200 attendees at the Westin Bonaventure, in downtown Los Angeles. You probably know him as the lead singer of the fictional punk band 'Sex Bob-Omb' in Edgar Wright's 'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World' where Mark was one of the main actors of the film but Mark Webber is a young actor and director with a 15 year old carreer.

KINKY BOOTS Celebrates 500 Performances on Broadway With Social Media Contest, 6/19

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots will celebrate its 500th Performance on Thursday, June 19th with a social media contest for fans. Beginning today, fans can enter to win tickets to the 500th Performance by using a Do-It-Yourself Kinky Boots Card to add the show's iconic red boots to their photos, and sharing those photos online using hashtag #Kinky500.. On Tuesday, June 17th, the five most creative photos will be selected, and the winners will be given a pair of tickets to celebrate with the cast on June 19th at the Hirschfeld Theatre.

Lisa Sette Gallery to Open in Midtown Phoenix Architectural Classic with HELLO MIDTOWN! Show, Today

freeFall Theatre's upcoming production of THE BURNT PART BOYS takes you out of St. Pete, Florida and deep into West Virginia's coal mines, following the very human experience of fourteen-year-old Pete, his brother Jake and their friends. As these daring young people journey into the coal mine known as "the burnt part", the same mine that took their fathers' lives, audiences are challenged to experience and perceive the streaks of light and the depths of the darkness that lie in each of us. By turns magical, inspiring, raucous, and playful it is a coming-of-age tale in the finest vein of the genre that people from all walks of life can relate to.

STAGE TUBE: On This Day 6/14- SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK

Today in 2011, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark opened at the Foxwoods Theatre, where it ran for 1066 performances. Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is a rock musical with music and lyrics by U2's Bono and The Edge and a book by Julie Taymor, Glen Berger, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. The musical is based on the Spider-Man comics created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, published by Marvel Comics, as well as the 2002 film about the character and the Greek myth of Arachne. lt tells the story of the origin of the character, his romance with Mary Jane and his battles with the evil Green Goblin.

LCT Extends THE CITY OF CONVERSATION Through 7/26

Lincoln Center Theater has announced a second, and final, extension of the run of its critically-acclaimed production of THE CITY OF CONVERSATION, a new play by Anthony Giardina, directed by Doug Hughes, through Saturday, July 26 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West. 65th Street).
