The producers of the upcoming new Broadway musical comedy, Gettin' The Band Back Together, have announced that Kelli Barrett, Becca Kotte, Garth Kravits, Manu Narayan, and Noa Solorio have joined the cast as Dani, Tawney, Ritchie, Dr. Rummesh 'Robbie' Patel, and Billie respectively. The ensemble will include Ryan Duncan, J. Elaine Marcos, Rob Marnell, Jasmin Richardson, and Tad Wilson.
Last night (Jan. 1, 2017), the Las Vegas Company of the smash-hit musical ROCK OF AGES took its final bow at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino after a rockin' four-year run on The Strip.
Rock of Ages opened on Broadway in 2008 and closed last January after 2,328 regular performances and 22 previews. It is still running strong at the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The music in the show is drawn from the glam metal and hair bands popular in the 1980s and it tends to be familiar to the audience who often sings along.
The 4th Annual NF Hope Benefit Concert was recently held in Las Vegas. The success of the event can be seen in the numbers. Over $82,000 was raised at this year's event.
Cast members from the Las Vegas company of the high-octane musical ROCK OF AGES will perform on 'The Queen Latifah Show' Monday, April 21. The show airs in the Las Vegas area at 2 p.m. on KTNV-TV. Check local listings for other locations.
'Rock of Ages' star Mark Shunock's March edition of 'Mondays Dark' took place on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 8:30 p.m. at Body English Nightclub inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Following the success of last month's tribute to the rock band QUEEN, 100 percent of the ticket proceeds from this week's show benefits the Shine Family Foundation and featured the music of 'The '80s - Unplugged.' Special guests included, the 'Rock of Ages' band Arsenal, Chris Phillips and Lydia Ansel of Zowie Bowie, James Mulligan, Tina Dawn from 'Absinthe,' Elise Furr from 'Jubilee,' illusionist Mark Bennick, Anne Martinez and Savannah Smith of BBR, Geechy Guy from 'America's Got Talent,' and Becca Kotte and Jason Oles from 'Rock Of Ages.' Other red carpet Vegas headliners in attendance included hypnotist Anthony Cools and celebrity magician, Murray Sawchuck, both of whom have performed at previous Mondays Dark events. GLEE star, Darren Criss, attended Rock of Ages Saturday evening, February 15 at The Venetian Las Vegas.
