Before "Rent"-there was "La Boheme"-and now it's back for the kick-off of Pacific Symphony's new opera-vocal initiative, "Symphonic Voices." For three nights, the orchestra comes out of the pit and onto the stage for the presentation of one of Puccini's most popular and heartbreaking operas. Led by Music Director Carl St.Clair, "La Boheme's" timeless tale of carefree Bohemians and star-struck lovers features a cast of world-class opera singers, Pacific Chorale and the Southern California Children's Chorus-filling the stage with their astonishing voices. Inspired by St.Clair's successful career as an opera conductor in Europe, "Symphonic Voices" continues next season with another Puccini masterpiece of high emotion, grand tragedy and gorgeous music: "Tosca."

The Tony-Award winning Alfie Boe releases his second album, Alfie, along with a DVD "Alfie Live," both available June 5th on Decca. With special guests including Robert Plant and Nick Jonas, the album is described as 'a collection of timeless pop songs and musical theatre favorites from such classics as Phantom of the Opera, Ragtime, West Side Story and Les Miserables to name a few.'

Conceived and Directed by Shane Scheel and Christopher Lloyd Bratten, For The Record: Coen Brothers begins Thursday, April 5 and runs until Sunday, April 29. As first reported on Deadline.com, director Martin Scorsese and actor Leonardo DiCaprio will collaborate once again on the upcoming film THE WOLF OF WALL STREET. Based on the memoir of stockbroker Jordan Belfort, the film will center on the financier's alternative life as a partying, drug addict who was indicted in 1998 for security fraud and money laundering and served a 22-month federal prison sentence.

Today we are completing our triptych look at the leading ladies of the new BAM production of RICHARD III, directed by Sam Mendes and starring Kevin Spacey, with a solo spotlight on a stage and screen star known for her wide range of roles in dramas, comedies, musicals, television and film - the one and only Haydn Gwynne. In addition to all about her intense preparation for her role in the searing and prescient Shakespearean historical tragedy, Gwynne also recounts her experiences working with Mendes, Spacey and the previous ladies who have participated in this RICHARD III spotlight with whom she shares the stage every night now through March 4, Gemma Jones and Maureen Anderman. The Coterie executive producers Amber Cassell and Julie Garnye have announced the next installment of the family-friendly When You Wish… benefit concert series on January 22nd, featuring a lineup of talent from Broadway, Film & Television.

According to the New York Times, Broadway producing team Kevin McCollum and Jeffrey Seller decided to end their partnership to produce independently. The duo, which has been working together for 21 years, are the founders of The Producing Office, established in 1994. They described their decision as a 'natural evolution.'

Variety reports that actor Joel Edgerton has officially signed on to join the cast of Kathryn Bigelow's currently untitled Osama Bin Laden movie. It had been rumored that Edgerton, best known as the star of 'The Warrior', was interested in the project, but according to the report negotiations have only now been made official.
