San Diego Theatres today announced Kenny G In Concert at the historic Balboa Theatre on Friday, October 14 at 8PM. The 2011-2012 BALBOA THEATRE SEASON began with FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE! 35TH Anniversary World Tour on August 2, and continues with An Evening With HOWIE MANDEL on October 23, k.d. lang and the SISS BOOM BANG on October 24; and the return of two-time Grammy® nominated Australian virtuoso guitarist TOMMY EMMANUEL for Valentine's Day, February 14, 2012.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that SISTER ACT will open at Paris' Theatre Mogador in fall 2012. The theatre is currently the home of the Franch production of MAMMA MIA, but the show will soon embark on a European tour. The show will be translated into French for the new production. Casting has not yet been announced.

OUTFEST, the world's leading organization dedicated to showcasing, protecting and nurturing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender film imagery and artistry, will honor director, producer and choreographer Adam Shankman as well as Lifetime Networks at the institution's annual Legacy Awards. This year's ceremony will be held at the Director's Guild of America on Thursday, October 20th and will be presented by Showtime.

The Broadway productions of SISTER ACT and HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING have just announced that they will bth host performances that will benefit the Actors Fund this October. SISTER ACT will donate proceeds from its October 2 show, and HOW TO SUCCEED from its October 16 performance.

Cast members from the Broadway hit SISTER ACT will perform musical numbers from the show at Bloomingdale's 59th street (1000 3rd Ave.) on Thursday, August 25 at 4:30pm as part of the store's 'Fashionable Fundraiser' benefiting The Foundation for AIDS Research (amFAR). In addition, Bloomingdale's will host makeovers in the Cosmetics Oval from 3:00-6:00pm. Costumes from SISTER ACT will also be on display exclusively for this event. At both the Bloomingdale's 59th street and Soho location (504 Broadway) shoppers who purchase over $400 in cosmetics and fragrances will receive a pair of tickets to SISTER ACT (while supplies last).
