Based on a true story of this unparalleled pioneer for female performers and a fan from Houston she befriended in a Texas honky-tonk, the production previews February 23, opens February 26 and runs through April 1.

From the writers of Married Alive! and A Dog's Life comes the Chicago area premiere of Another Night Before Christmas, November 17 through December 18, 2011 at Theatre at the Center,1040 Ridge Road, Munster, IN. The press performance will be Sunday, November 20 at 7 p.m. Find the true meaning of Christmas in this wonderful holiday musical about a right jolly old elf, a less jolly single woman and an old wish finally coming true. Another Night Before Christmas is a delight for the whole family. The Broadway smash hit musical THE WIZ, with book by William F. Brown and music by Charlie Smalls, will blow audiences away July 7 through August 7, 2011 at Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana. The production will open Sunday, July 10 at 7 p.m. Stacey Flaster will direct and choreograph. THE WIZ first opened on Broadway in 1975 and ran for four years (1600 performances). It made a historic footprint as the first large-scale big-budget musical featuring an all-African American cast. THE WIZ won seven Tony Awards including Best Musical and was produced in 1978 by Motown/Universal as a film starring Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Lena Horne, and Richard Pryor.

It's not a typo folks! This is not a review of anybody's production of "Sunset Boulevard," despite the vision mistakes of ALL of my friends when they asked me in writing where I was going. Instead, it's the seventh or eighth "Nunsense" musical (depending on whether or not you count one all-male show), that overwhelmingly popular and not-quite-as-critically-successful series of small-scale musicals by Dan Goggin, written over the last 25 years and featuring five characters in a series of wacky, real-time, semi-performance situations.

The latest addition to the hilarious NUNSENSE series of musicals is Playwright and Composer Dan Goggin's NUNSET BOULEVARD, THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL SHOW. Making its Chicago area premiere April 28, with press opening Sunday, May 1 at 7 p.m., NUNSET BOULEVARD will run through May 29 at Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana. NUNSET BOULEVARD follows the irrepressible Little Sisters of Hoboken as they receive the news that they have been invited to sing at the Hollywood Bowl. They are thrilled at the prospect until they arrive and realize they are booked at the Hollywood Bowl-A-Rama instead. The comedy mounts when the nuns learn that a famous movie producer is across the street auditioning actresses for his new movie musical, 'NUNSET BOULEVARD: A Song from the Hart,' about the life of Dolores Hart, the famous movie star who became a nun.
