Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) and The Market Theatre in Johannesburg, South Africa host the world premiere of Cadre, written and directed by Omphile Molusi, opening at The Market Theatre on South Africa's Human Rights Day, March 21, with performances continuing through April 14, 2013.

With The Suit, theater director Peter Brook-whose 1987 production of The Mahabharata inaugurated the BAM Majestic Theater (now the BAM Harvey Theater)-returns to BAM with Theatre des Bouffes du Nord to showcase his signature approach of innovative stage design and the integration of live music. Written by Can Themba, The Suit was adapted for the stage by Mothobi Mutloatse, and Barney Simon.

Building upon a rich history of importing standout Edinburgh productions and major international companies to America in recent years, St. Ann's Warehouse (Artistic Director, Susan Feldman; Executive Director, Andrew D. Hamingson) will present this American Premiere (and the Baxter Theatre Centre's American debut), which adapts the August Strindberg classic to post-apartheid South Africa. Performances will take place tonight, November 8 - December 2, marking the official opening of the new St. Ann's Warehouse at 29 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

The New Victory Theater will end its run of Elephant, a co-production between Dodgy Clutch of the UK and Johannesburg's The Market Theatre, creators of the Broadway hit musical Sarafina (1988 Tony® Award nomination for Best Musical) on May 2nd.

The Market Theatre's production 'Death of a Colonialist' will close May 2, 2010 at the Barney Simon Theatre.
