Following its five 2008/09 L.A. Stage Alliance Ovation Nominations for its critically-acclaimed production of Kiss of the Spider Woman (including Best Musical Production - Intimate Theatre), Havok Theare Company is thrilled to announce its first production of 2010, the Broadway musical THE STORY OF MY LIFE with music and lyrics by Neil Bartram and Book by Brian Hill, directed by Havok's Artistic Director and Ovation Award-winner (and nominated this year for Kiss of the Spider Woman), Nick DeGruccio.

The non-traditional musical, led by Broadway and television star Harry Groener, has a cast of five (a glamorous but slightly jaded couple, a starry-eyed younger couple and a savvy observer) who sing more than 30 songs that reflect their lives, lifestyles and moods of the moment. Some of the songs will be familiar, some less so, a few were even cut from their original musical scores, but they are all sophisticated, smart and drop-dead droll. All, in other words, Sondheim.

The Havok Theatre Company in association with the Bootleg Theatre have announced that the Los Angeles Intimate Theatre premiere of KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN has been extended through Sunday, November 9. KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN performs at the Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles.

A trio of amorous, amusing and oddly lovable lawbreakers will invade Ventura's Rubicon Theatre Aug. 16, when the company presents the World Premiere of Mark Stein's Bad Apples...

Rubicon Theatre Company's 10th Anniversary Season has been cloaked in secrecy, with the company planning a private preview event in May to announce next year's offerings. However, earlier this week company officials named two of the productions, which will be a part of the just-announced Southern California Festival of New American Musicals.
