The American Tap Dance Foundation (ATDF), Tony Waag, Artistic/Executive Director, announced today its 2017 line up for TAP CITY, the NYC Tap Festival, July 8 through July 15. The week long festival includes performances by local and international artists, the ATDF Tap Dance Awards, master classes and a “Tap Treasures” tap dance tour, all in celebration of this uniquely American art form right in tap's hometown, New York City. *Lineup below

Festival General Director Nigel Redden announced today the program for the 41st annual Spoleto Festival USA, taking place May 26 through June 11, 2017, in Charleston, South Carolina. "On the heels of a hugely exciting 40th season, this year's Festival promises to build on that momentum," says Redden. "Charleston's rich history in the arts comes alive during each Festival, and we will explore that history and add to it again in 2017."

The NY Dance and Performance Awards, The Bessies, New York City's premier dance awards honoring outstanding creative work in the field, announced the complete list of the 2015-16 season award recipients tonight at the 32nd Annual Bessie Awards ceremony. Awards were presented in the categories of Outstanding Production, Outstanding Performer, Outstanding Music Composition/Sound Design, and Outstanding Visual Design, with additional awards presented for Lifetime Achievement and Outstanding Service to the Field of Dance. Last night, the biggest names from Broadway and Hollywood took the stage to support Hillary Clinton in STRONGER TOGETHER, a special evening at the theater to benefit the Hillary Victory Fund. The star-studded show featured never-before-seen duets and appearances from Julia Roberts, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hugh Jackman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Emily Blunt, Neil Patrick Harris, Helen Mirren and many more. In addition, Former President Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton were on hand to speak to the crowd.

Arlene Shuler, New York City Center President & CEO, today announced the line-up for the 2016 Fall for Dance Festival. The 13th edition of the annual festival will feature a more international slate than ever before with 20 acclaimed dance companies and artists from across the country and around the world beginning September 26 through October 8. In keeping with City Center's commitment to make the best in the performing arts accessible to the widest possible audience, all tickets are $15. Tickets go on sale Saturday, September 10 at 11am.
