Second in the series of salons presented by 42nd Street Moon is a tribute to Ira Gershwin. The January 28th salon will be led by Broadway veteran Donna McKechnie. Also joining the cast is Klea Blackhurst, as well as Bill Fahrner, Alexandra Kaprelian and Darlene Popovich.
Howard McGillin, Nancy Anderson and Jim Stanek are among the performers in a cabaret of New York songs and stories.
Kaufman Center and New York Festival Of Song (NYFOS, www.nyfos.org), will premiere Great American Songwriting Teams, an evening of famous and rarely-heard songs honoring the genius of America's classic collaborators, on Tuesday and Thursday November 17 and 19 at 8 PM at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center. Tony Winner Donna McKechnie and Klea Blackhurst will join Cady Huffman as performers in the 42nd Street Moon Salons, which will hold two performances on October 13th and January 28th. The October 13th performanace, entitled 'I Feel A Song Coming On!' is a salon of Dorothy Fields songs and is lead by Tony Winner Cady Huffman. The January 28th salon is a tribute to Ira Gershwin, led by McKechnie. Also joining the cast is Klea Blackhurst, as well as Bill Fahrner, Alexandra Kaprelian and Darlene Popovich.
Broadway star Cady Huffman will perform at San Francisco's Alcazar Theatre on Tuesday, October 13 in a one night only engagement. The performance will begin at 7pm.

Greg MacKellan, artistic director of 42nd Street Moon, and Stephanie Rhoads, producing director, today announced details of the upcoming 2009-10 season of uncommon musical theater.
