In The Wings Productions, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tanya Glassman and Executive Producer Adam Glassman, presents the great American musical GYPSY, with performances from November 12-15 at the historic Snug Harbor Music Hall.

Today, March 16, 2015, Asolo Repertory Theatre and the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training announced their highly anticipated 2015-16 seasons with a special presentation in the Mertz Theatre.

Anissa Perona shines as Maria in this well-directed version of the Bernstein-Sondheim classic.

Signature Theatre has announced the cast of WEST SIDE STORY, directed by Signature Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner (Signature's Sunday in the Park with George, Cabaret). The musical, a collaboration of music, dance and theater giants Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Jerome Robbins and Arthur Laurents, is considered by some to be one of the greatest musicals of all time. WEST SIDE STORY will run from December 8 - January 24 in Signature Theatre's intimate MAX Theatre.

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of the award-winning American musical, GYPSY, at the Sara Belle and Neil November Theatre, 114 West Broad Street on Friday, November 20 with a Preview on Thursday, November 19. The show runs through January 10, 2015. With music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and book by Arthur Laurents, GYPSY is considered a crowning achievement in American musical theatre.

The York Theatre Company has announced today Broadway's Klea Blackhurst (York's Call Me Madame) Mario Cantone (Assassins), Erin Davie (York's Silk Stockings, Side Show), Matt McGrath (Nice Work If You Can Get It), and Mary Louise Wilson (On the Twentieth Century), along with the acclaimed Yale Wiffenpoofs, have joined the roster of illustrious special guest performers who will gather to honor Broadway and Hollywood legend Angela Lansbury at 2015 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Lifetime Achievement in Musical Theatre on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Guastavino's (409 East 59th Street). 

As theater fans eagerly await the much talked about movie adaptation of GYPSY, starring Barbra Streisand in the iconic role of Mamma Rose, the project has suffered another setback, according to Deadline.

Kentucky Shakespeare is proud to announce their 2016 Season. The company is currently touring the state with the educational outreach tour serving over 50,000 students this year, and the season for the public beginning in January, 2016 will serve over 30,000 more.  The season includes the Shakespeare in The Parks Tour, the 56th annual Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park, and new to the lineup - Kentucky Shakespeare's first ticketed indoor Shakespeare production - Twelfth Night at the Kentucky Center of Performing Arts.

The Lost Treasures Collection, a multi award winning series of rarely performed musical gems, is back for a sixth season at Lakewood Theatre Company. This year three musicals featuring the theme 'Passport to Romance' will be presented in a concert/cabaret style. The first offering, Do I Hear A Waltz? will have only 3 performances: Today, October 23 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, October 24 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Performances are on Lakewood's Side Door stage at Lakewood Center for the Arts in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Fiddlehead Theatre Company, the resident theatre company of Boston's historic Strand Theatre, opens the company's 21st season with the classic WEST SIDE STORY, now through October 25, 2015. The finest talents direct from the Broadway revival and national and international tours of WEST SIDE STORY bring this masterwork to life on the Strand Stage. The production is costumed and directed by Stacey Stephens, with the original choreography recreated by Wendy Hall, and music director Charles Peltz directs a 22-piece orchestra bringing Bernstein's music to life. Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will continue their 2015-2016 season with the Richard Rodgers, Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents 1965 musical DO I HEAR A WALTZ?

 Asolo Repertory Theatre kicks off its highly anticipated 2015-16 season with the electrifying Tony Award-winning musical WEST SIDE STORY. One of the greatest musicals ever written, Asolo Rep's production will open Friday, November 13 at 8pm and run through Sunday, December 27, with previews November 10 - 12 at 8pm in the Mertz Theatre located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts. This American masterpiece was crafted by some of the most legendary artists of all time, with a book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and choreography by Jerome Robbins. Two-time Tony Award nominee Joey McKneely, who reproduced the choreography for the celebrated 2009 Broadway revival, will direct and reproduce Robbins' timeless choreography for Asolo Rep's production. 

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced Tony Award-winner LAURA BENANTI live in concert tonight, October 10 at 8 pm.

Carnegie Hall today announced that it has cast three lead actors for its upcoming production of West Side Story, to be presented in three performances only on March 4, 5, and 6, 2016 at the Knockdown Center, a restored factory in Queens.

The Off-Broadway cast recording of the new Bock and Harnick musical, Rothschild & Sons, an intimate reimagining of the Tony nominated musical The Rothschilds, will be recorded and released by JAY Records.  Produced by John Yap, the recording will feature the original cast of The York Theatre Company production who will gather at The Avatar Studios on Monday, October 26, 2015 to lay down the tracks for the recording scheduled for release on JAY Records in early January.  Executive Producers are John Yap and Arnold Mittelman.
