The Amoralists (James Kautz, Artistic Director) announce their 11th season, RICOCHET: An Amoralists Anthology about Surviving an American Epidemic. RICOCHET will feature four boundary-pushing original, intersecting plays that follow a community as it copes with the aftermath of a mass shooting. Written by The Amoralists 2018/2019 'WRIGHT CLUB playwrights, Gabriel Jason Dean, Charly Evon Simpson, and James Anthony Tyler, the season will include four complementary original graphic novels created by Danica Novgorodoff.
THE DOPPELGANGER Extends Through June 2

Due to popular demand, Steppenwolf Theatre Company has extended the world premiere comedy, The Doppelganger (an international farce) written by Matthew-Lee Erlbach (Showtime's Masters of Sex, Off-Broadway's Handbook for an American Revolutionary), through June 2 with the original cast.
MLIMA'S TALE Extends Through June 3

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced today a two-week extension for the world premiere of MLIMA'S TALE. Written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage and directed by Obie Award winner Jo Bonney, MLIMA'S TALE continues The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR. MLIMA'S TALE will now run two additional weeks through Sunday, June 3.

IAMA concludes its 10th anniversary season with the final installment of Leslye Headland's viciously funny "Seven Deadly Plays" cycle: a black comedy that explores the sin of "pride." Annie Tippe directs the world premiere of Cult of Love, a powerful look at one family's feverish clash over who is right - and who is crazy. Previews begin May 18, with the press opening scheduled for Thursday, May 24. Performances will continue through June 24 at Atwater Village Theatre.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Sharone Sayegh and Raymond J. Lee in "Project Broadway: The Unconventional Materials Challenge" on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 9:30pm. Sharone and Ray met dancing in wet suits and spandex sparkles in the Broadway production of Mamma Mia! and are excited to team up for their first duo show at Feinstein's/54 Below. Taking a cue from "Project Runway," Sharone and Ray will present an evening of Unconventional Materials as they tackle nontraditional casting roles and partner up on a few exciting pop selections, with musical direction by Steven Jamail.

Nimbus Dance Works returns to the Brooklyn Academy of Music: BAM Fisher, April 21-22, 2018 featuring the World Premiere of Samuel Pott's Esther, an edgy interpretation of the complex First Testament heroine, Esther, whose rise to power entangles themes of feminism, tribalism, and seduction. Esther is performed with live music by the fiercely adventurous Brooklyn Indie-Rock band, Sky-Pony, led by Tony-nominated lead singer Lauren Worsham (Drama Desk Award winner and Tony Award nominee) and musician/writer Kyle Jarrow (Obie Award winner). Nimbus also presents World Premieres by Darshan Singh Bhuller (former Artistic Director of London's Phoenix Dance Theater and choreographer of Mapping, acclaimed work from recent Nimbus seasons), and Vernard Gilmore (renowned dancer with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater).

After three staged readings of three fantastic plays were presented to enthusiastic audiences at Guild Hall, the votes for the Episcopal Actors' Guild's 11th Annual Barbour Playwrights Award are in. The judges have selected Alexis Roblan's The Andrew Play (a play about siblings, loss, the confusing poetry of grief, and who owns your memory when you're gone) as this year's winner.

Waterwell (Tom Ridgely, Artistic Director; Arian Moayed, Producer) announced today that Co-Founder and Artistic Director Tom Ridgely will be stepping down next month to assume artistic and executive leadership of Shakespeare Festival St. Louis as Executive Producer. Following his departure, he will join the Waterwell Board of Directors. Tony Award nominee Arian Moayed, Co-Founder and Producer of Waterwell, will serve as Interim Artistic Director while the board conducts a national search for a successor.
