Williamstown Theatre Festival's 2013 benefit will honor Award-winning director and frequent WTF collaborator Scott Ellis, today, Monday, November 18th at 6:30 p.m. at the Edison Ballroom in New York City (240 West 47th Street). The evening is hosted by Julie White, who won a Tony Award for her performance in the Ellis-helmed production of The Little Dog Laughed, and includes appearances by Tony Award-winners Chita Rivera, Susan Stroman, Rupert Holmes and more.

Williamstown Theatre Festival announced today that this year's Benefit will honor Award-winning director and frequent WTF collaborator Scott Ellis, on Monday, November 18th at 6:30 p.m. at the Edison Ballroom in New York City (240 West 47th Street). Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) extends its New York premiere musical comedy Murder For Two, with book and music by Joe Kinosian, book and lyrics by Kellen Blair and directed by Scott Schwartz yet another week through August 25. Murder for Twofeatures Jeff Blumenkrantz (How to Succeed...) and Brett Ryback (The History Boys at Ahmanson). Previews began on July 10 and opening night was Thursday, July 25.

Sundance Institute today announced the acting company, artists-in-residence and creative advisors for the seven projects being developed at its 2013 Theatre Lab, July 8-28 at the Sundance Resort in Utah. Under the supervision of Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the Lab is the centerpiece of the Theatre Program's year-round work and is designed to support both emerging and established artists and to create a place where their original work can be effectively mentored and challenged free from commercial pressure.

Lapham's Quarterly (Editor and Publisher Lewis Lapham) announced today their annual gala, the DECADES BALL: The 1950s, was held last night, June 3 at Capitale (130 Bowery at Grand Street). The evening, emceed by Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis, included performances and readings by Tom Hanks and Patricia Clarkson, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Martha Plimpton, Tony Kushner, Ari Graynor, Steven Pasquale, Francois Battiste, Paul Muldoon, Nellie McKay, and a toast by Editor and Publisher of Lapham's Quarterly, Lewis Lapham. Kevin Philips received the 2013 Janus Prize, presented by benefit co-chair Morley Safer.
