Stephen Powell's A STOPPING PLACE Set for Planet Connections Theatre Festivity

?Planet Connections Theatre Festivity is pleased to announce the world premiere of A Stopping Place, a new one-man show written and performed by Stephen Powell, directed by Clara Pagone, and produced by Leonie Ettinger. A Stopping Place, the first original play by Stephen Powell, brings to the stage a riveting exploration of the lasting effects that trauma inflicts on the individual, told through the personal meditations of a lone, anonymous character. Tickets are $18 for general admission and can be purchased at www.planetconnections.org. A Stopping Place benefits MCCNY Homeless Youth Services supporting New York City's young LGBT population in crisis.

Obie Winner Brooke O'Harra to Bring 'I'M BLEEDING ALL OVER THE PLACE' to La MaMa

La MaMa presents I'm Bleeding All Over The Place: A Living History Tour, conceived and directed by Brooke O'Harra, text by Brooke O'Harra and Casey Llewellyn, with Erin Courtney, Kristin Kosmas and Heidi Schreck, and original music by Brendan Connelly. I'm Bleeding All Over The Place runs from June 16 - 26, 2016 at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre, located at 66 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and the Bowery in New York City.

Ghostlight Records will release the cast album of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of She Loves Me from Roundabout Theatre Companyin digital formats on Friday, June 10, with physical copies online and in stores on Friday, July 8. Theatre 68 Finds Permanent Home at Antaeus/Deaf West Space

?Artistic Director, Ronnie Marmo is proud to announce that Theatre 68 finds a new permanent home by taking over Antaeus/Deaf West space. Theatre 68 officially moves in on August 1st, 2016 and will do a major renovation including building a second theatre. For the second space, they will either seek out a theatre company to inhabit or just make it available for rentals. The building is located at 5112 Lankershim Blvd in North Hollywood, CA, and will be their new permanent West Coast home.

Northern Stage Theater Company Exceeds Fundraising Goal

?On Monday May 9, 2016, Eric Bunge, Managing Director of Northern Stage Theater Company, announced to a crowd of supporters gathered in the Byrne Theater of the Barrette Center for the Arts that the organization had officially exceeded the fundraising goal for its "Campaign for Northern Stage: New Home, Bright Future."

DADDY LONG LEGS, AMERICAN SON & More Set for George Street Playhouse's 2016-17 Season

George Street Playhouse Artistic Director David Saint has announced the slate of plays scheduled for the New Brunswick theatre's 2016-17 five-play season. George Street's 43rd season begins in October and will feature five extraordinary productions, including: Mama's Boy, a chilling glimpse into the home life of Lee Harvey Oswald; American Son, a Laurents/Hatcher Foundation Award-winner about the racial divide; Joshua Harmon's Bad Jews, a comedic take on family, faith and legacy; and Daddy Long Legs, a romantic musical based on a classic novel. A fifth production will be announced at a later date.

HESS Set for Edinburgh Festival Fringe

On the 75th anniversary of Rudolf Hess, Hitler's second in command, bailing out over Scotland on a self-appointed mission of peace and the 70th anniversary of the start of the Nuremberg Trials, Kinbur Productions and the Gilded Balloon are reviving HESS, Michael Burrell's award winning one-man play, for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016.  

OSF's Allen Elizabethan Theatre to Open in June

Oh, the places you'll go! The Oregon Shakespeare Festival transports audiences to a ghostly Danish castle, dynastic China, and Oz's Emerald City when its outdoor theatre opens the weekend of June 17-19. The Allen Elizabethan Theatre will feature Hamlet, directed by Lisa Peterson; the classic 1970s musical The Wiz, directed by Robert O'Hara; and The Winter's Tale, directed by Desdemona Chiang. The shows will close the weekend of October 14-16.
