Julien's Auctions Holds Street and Contemporary Art Fair Today

Los Angeles, California – (March 29, 2016) – Julien's Auctions, the world record breaking auction house to the stars, has announced its biannual Street & Contemporary Art auction featuring extraordinary highlights from the world's most sought after street artists including anonymous graffiti artist Banksy, whose identity was recently revealed by scientists by using a modeling technique for tracking down and identifying potential criminal suspects. The Banksy artwork collection is a featured highlight in the upcoming Street & Contemporary Art Auction taking place on Today, April 30th, 2016 at the Julien's Auctions Los Angeles gallery and will feature over 200 lots.

Madison Square Park Conservancy to Host Dreaming Public Art Symposium, 5/24

On Tuesday, May 24, 2016, from 7:30PM to 10:00PM, Madison Square Park Conservancy and School of Visual Arts will host Dreaming Public Art, a free symposium featuring a keynote conversation with artist Martin Puryear and Columbia University art historian Dr. Kellie Jones. Martin Puryear's Big Bling will be on view in Madison Square Park from May 16, 2016 through January 8, 2017.

Red Bull Theater to Continue 12th Season with HAMLET, Starring Arian Moayed & More

Red Bull Theater today announced that their Twelfth Season will continue with Shakespeare's Hamlet, directed by Tom Ridgely, on Monday May 2nd at 7:30pm, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson).  Featured in the cast will be Arian Moayed (Tony Award nomination, Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo) along with Mohammad Aghebati, Amir Arison, Brendan Averett, Cary Donaldson, Abraham Makany,  Seth Numrich, Debargo Sanyal, Babak Tafti, Faran Tahir, Sheila Vand, Bernard White, and more.  Tickets may be purchased online at www.redbulltheater.com or by phone at (212) 352-3101.

Ain Gordon World Premiere Set for Painted Bride Arts Center

1972: Dr. John Fryer dons an oversize tuxedo and rubber joke shop mask to become Dr. Henry Anonymous and confront the American Psychiatric Association with these words: 'I am a homosexual, I am a psychiatrist.' The latest work by renowned theatre artist Ain Gordon, 217 Boxes of Dr. Henry Anonymous, is a new play drawn from the 217 boxes of archive materials from national LGBT activist of Dr. John Fryer discovered by Ain Gordon during his two-year embedded artist status at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania (HSP). This new work is set to run, May 5-7, at the Painted Bride Arts Center, 230 Vine Street. All performances are at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $20. Syracuse University's Department of Drama to Wrap Season with A FLEA IN HER EAR

Syracuse University's Department of Drama concludes its 2015-2016 season with David Ives' new version of French playwright Georges Feydeau's bedroom farce A Flea in Her Ear. Directed by Stephen Cross, this production runs May 6-14 at the Storch Theatre in the Syracuse Stage/SU Drama Complex. The opening night performance is scheduled for Saturday, May 7 at 8 p.m.

USA Sets MR. ROBOT Season Two Premiere Date

USA Network today announced the highly-anticipated season two return of the award-winning series MR. ROBOT. The 10-episode season will premiere on Wednesday, July 13 at 10/9c.

New Amsterdam Singers to Perform Six New York Premieres in May

The New Amsterdam Singers (NAS), led by Music Director Clara Longstreth, will present its final program of the season, titled The Good Earth: New Music for the Land and Its Fragile Glory, with concerts Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 316 East 88th Street, and Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 8:00 P.M. at Saint Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church, 554 West End Avenue (at 87th Street.)

Cal State Fullerton's Dancers to Open Spring Dance Theatre, 5/5

The nationally acclaimed Spring Dance Theatre, coordinated by CSUF Dance Professor Gladys Kares, runs May 5-May 15, 2016 in the Little Theatre on Cal State Fullerton's campus. Spring Dance Theatre includes original choreography by students, faculty, and guest artists. CSUF dancers were recently featured at Washington DC's Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
