FREEZE FRAME: Meet the Cast of Vineyard Theatre's BROOKLYNITE

Vineyard Theatre presents the world premiere of the musical BROOKLYNITE, helmed by Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer (HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, SPRING AWAKENING) and beginning performances Friday January 29th, with an opening night set for Wednesday February 25th. This limited engagement continues through Sunday March 22nd. The company met the press earlier today and BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the cast below!

The Asian American Composers and Lyricists Project and ReImagined World Entertainment will present 'Arriving In Asian America,' a song cycle collectively written by members of the project with original words and music by Adam Gwon, Timothy Huang, Christine Toy Johnson, Ming Aldrich-Gan, Hyeyoung Kim (with Michael Cooper), Leon Ko, Robert Lee, Yoonmi Lee (with Gaby Gold & Zhu Yi), Yan Li, Jason Ma, J. Oconer Navarro, Kamala Sankaram, Tidtaya Sinutoke (with Ty Defoe) and Jeff Tang.

Photo Flash: First Look at NeNe Leakes in Broadway's CINDERELLA!

Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA welcomed actress and reality television sensation NeNe Leakes (THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA) to the cast on November 25, as she stepped into the role of Cinderella's wicked stepmother 'Madame'. CINDERELLA will conclude its triumphant 2-year run on January 3. The show will have played 41 preview and 770 regular performances when it closes.

Jennifer Ashley Tepper's The Untold Stories of Broadway, Volume 2 officially hit the shelves yesterday, November 18, from Dress Circle Publishing. The second book in a multivolume collection examines eight Broadway theaters and over 70 years of theatrical history through the voices of such Broadway greats as Jason Robert Brown, Joanna Gleason, Jonathan Groff,Jeremy Jordan,Laura Linney, Joe Mantello, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Robert Morse, Harold Prince, Charles Strouse, Alex Timbers, Julie Taymor, Robert Wankel, George C. Wolfe and more. The eight Broadway theaters featured in the second book are the Palace Theatre, the Barrymore Theatre, the Gershwin Theatre, the Circle in the Square, the Shubert Theatre, the Criterion Center Stage Right, the Vivian Beaumont Theatre and the Nederlander Theatre. Tepper and her Broadway friends just celebrated the launch of the book at Sardis and you can check out photos from the special event below!

To kick off the release of famed Sirius XM radio host Seth Rudetsky new book Seth's Broadway Diary, Dress Circle Publishing (Brisa Trinchero and Roberta Pereira, founders) hosted a special book launch concert event last night at Don't Tell Mama (343 W 46th St). Broadway stars Kelli O'Hara, Judy Kuhn, Anika Larsen, Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, Chip Zien and Marc Shaiman who are featured in the book performed excerpts and some of Seth's favorite songs. Currently appearing in Cinderella are Keke Palmer in the title role, Joe Carroll as Prince Topher, Sherri Shepherd as Madame (until Nov. 23) , Judy Kaye as the Fairy Godmother, Ann Harada as stepsister Charlotte, Stephanie Gibson as stepsister Gabrielle, Peter Bartlett as Sebastian, Prince Topher's mentor and Lord Chancellor, Todd Buonopane as the rebel Jean-Michel and Phumzile Sojola as Lord Pinkleton.

Tonight, September 29 (8 pm), Symphony Space will present Sundance...Sings!, spotlighting songs from groundbreaking shows developed with support from the Sundance Institute Theatre Program, sung by a stellar cast. Christine Ebersole, Ann Harada, Annie Golden, Joshua Henry, and fourteen other notables will take the stage at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre in selections from the Broadway oeuvre of Stew + Heidi Rodewald, Scott Frankel, Adam Guettel, Lisa Kron, Michael John LaChiusa, Bill Finn, Steven Lutvak, Duncan Sheik, and others.

TV: It's Possible! Lesley Ann Warren Returns to Her CINDERELLA Roots Onstage at the Broadway Theatre

Where have the 50 years gone? Academy Award® nominee Lesley Ann Warren - who was all of 18 years old when CBS-TV selected her as its CINDERELLA for the famed 1965 telecast of Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA - joined the cast of the current Broadway company on stage to perform a number from the musical at the conclusion of the September 23rd performance. Miss Warren's CINDERELLA was such a success for CBS that the musical aired once each year for 8 years until 1974. Miss Warren's appearance coincides with the 50th anniversary release of the telecast. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you a behind the scenes interview with Warren, as well as highlights from her special performance of 'It's Possible.'
