Andriana Chuchman Sings Role of 'Adina' in Met Opera's L'ELISIR D'AMORE Tonight

Andriana Chuchman will sing the role of Adina in Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore tonight, January 9 and Monday, January 13, replacing Anna Netrebko, who has withdrawn from the first two performances of the run because she is suffering from the flu. The January 9 performance will be Chuchman's Met debut.

The Glimmerglass Festival's Alice Busch Opera Theater stage was alight Saturday night with the opening of Lerner and Loewe's Camelot. This musical adaptation of T.H. White's The Once and Future King tells the story of King Arthur, his wife Guenevere and faithful friend Sir Lancelot, as they all struggle to preserve their kingdom's grand, romantic ideals against the will of fate. The Kennedy Center Opera House is a fitting berth for Captain Andy's Cotton Blossom and the happy/troubled show folk who make it their home. The Glimmerglass Festival, the Central New York summer opera company, will celebrate its Young Artists and Summer Internship programs at GL!MMERATA, its 2013 Spring Gala, tonight, April 10 at The Metropolitan Club in Manhattan. The 2013 season marks the 25th anniversary of the company's Young Artists Program, the acclaimed apprenticeship for emerging singers.
