RFK: The Journey to Justice is a commission led by the University of Notre Dame's DeBartolo Performing Arts Center and co-commissioned by the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland, Stanford Lively Arts at Stanford University, and the Modlin Center for the Arts at the University of Richmond. Rebel Theater Company will present a series of staged readings of Little Rock written and directed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj. Little Rock presents untold stories of nine young teenagers otherwise known as ?Little Rock Nine? and their struggles, strengths, hardships, and triumphs over the tragic events of the 1957 Little Rock crisis. THE ORPHANS' HOME CYCLE, the world premiere of a three part theatrical event by the late Academy Award and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Horton Foote, will feature a company of 22 actors under the direction of Michael Wilson. Sherwood's Abe Lincoln in Illinois. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play, which will be produced as part of Intiman's American Cycle in the fall, is an epic drama about the man who became president, spanning the years in which Lincoln grew to take responsibility for his conscience and his country.
New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that Aftermath, written by Jessica Blank & Erik Jensen, and directed by Ms. Blank, will begin performances Tuesday, September 1, at 7pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery. Opening night is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15 at 7:00pm. The production will run through Sunday, October 4.

New York City Opera today released full casting details for the 2009-2010 season, its first under the new leadership of General Manager and Artistic Director George Steel. The company will present five operas in 2009-2010, in fall and spring seasons, in the newly renovated David H. Koch Theater (formerly the New York State Theater).
