Producers Jeffrey Richards, Stacey Mindich, and Jerry Frankel announced today that Tony Award nominee Hunter Foster (Little Shop of Horrors) will join the cast of The Bridges of Madison County, the new musical based on the best selling novel by Robert James Waller.

Philippine broadsheet BusinessWorld has picked the Philippine premiere of the hit Broadway musical 'The Addams Family' as the show to watch before it closes at Meralco Theater (Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City) Sunday, December 1.

The Broadway musical Big Fish will play its final performance on Sunday, December 29, 2013, but the show will have a life after its run at the Neil Simon Theatre. A 92Y representative confirmed that, Susan Stroman, who was a panelist at last night's 'From Book to Screen: Big Fish- A Conversation with the Creative Team' at the 92Y, revealed that an original cast album is on the way. Additional details have not yet been announced.

It's Official! Sutton Foster is coming BACK to Broadway, as Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced that it will present two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster in a Broadway production of VIOLET (first seen as part of Encores! Off-Center concert series in 2013), directed by Leigh Silverman. Based on the short story 'The Ugliest Pilgrim' by Doris Betts, VIOLET features music by Jeanine Tesori and book & lyrics by Brian Crawley. VIOLET will be produced in association with Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, David Mirvish, Barry and Fran Weissler, Elizabeth Armstrong, and Mary Jo and Ted Shen.

Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of the Tony Award-winning musical, Fiddler on the Roof, at the Sara Belle and Neil November Theatre, 114 West Broad Street tonight, November 22. The show runs through January 12, 2014.

In the New York Philharmonic's concerts this week celebrating the centennial of English composer, conductor, and pianist Benjamin Britten, conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert, tenors Dominic Armstrong, Anthony Dean Griffey, and Michael Slattery will replace Paul Appleby, who has withdrawn due to illness. On November 21-22, 2013, Michael Slattery will make his Philharmonic debut in Britten's Serenade for Tenor, Horn, and Strings, and tenor Dominic Armstrong will make his Philharmonic debut in Britten's Spring Symphony. The concert on November 23 will feature tenor Anthony Dean Griffey in both works, and he will sing the Serenade on November 26 on a program that also includes Mozart's Symphonies Nos. 39 and 41, Jupiter.
