Kate Wetherhead, creator and star of the hugely popular web series, Submissions Only, returns to Feinstein's/54 Below on June 16th to host a hilarious evening of musical comedy bliss, BROADWAY'S BEST MUSICAL COMEDY STARS!

On Monday, June 6, the Theater People podcast welcomes Tony nominee Jennifer Damiano. She made her Broadway debut at the age of 15 in the groundbreaking and Tony Award-winning musical SPRING AWAKENING. She went on to originate the role of Natalie in the Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt musical NEXT TO NORMAL, for which she earned a Tony Award nomination.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) has announced that Vincent J. Cardinal, Connecticut Repertory Theatre Artistic Director and Head of the Department of Dramatic Arts at the University of Connecticut will step down from his position at the end of July. Cardinal, who is departing at the conclusion of the popular 2016 Nutmeg Summer Series, will become the Arthur and Martha Hearron Endowed Professor of Musical Theatre, Chair of the Department of Musical Theatre and Professor of Music, School of Music Theatre and Dance at the University of Michigan.

Alex Scolari always knew she wanted to perform. From the age of 5 she was performing in musical theatre productions in her community just outside Los Angeles. At the age of 9, she was competitively competing in dance with The Millennium Dance Complex's Junior Dance Company.

The Drama League (Executive Artistic Director, Gabriel Shelian-Shanks) gathered yesterday, May 20th, for the 82nd Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony, hosted by 2016 Tony® Award-nominees, Zachary Levi (She Loves Me) and Megan Hilty (Noises Off), in the Broadway Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway). Earlier this week, Tuck Everlasting's Andrew Keenan-Bolger hosted The Shubert Foundation and Music Theatre International's 11th Annual Broadway Junior Student Finale, showcasing students from Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Manhattan performing song and dance numbers from their school versions of Broadway musicals. The partnership is a groundbreaking musical theatre mentorship program that builds self-sustaining theatre programs in public schools that have limited arts programming.
