Pride Films & Plays is excited to announce a new production of Design for Living, a sexy and seductive revival of this Noel Coward classic which will be directed by PFP Artistic Associate Derek Bertelsen, and running at Rivendell Theater from October 22 to November 22. The press opening is Saturday, October 24 at 7:30.

The Old Globe presents George Bernard Shaw's Arms and the Man, joining celebrated director Jessica Stone, who recently made her Globe debut with Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Shaw's romantic comedy, which continues the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration, will run May 9 - June 14, 2015 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Elisabeth Moss Will Be Honored with Sardi's Caricature Tomorrow

"Hedwig and the Angry Inch" opens at Raleigh Little Theatre on Friday. The 1998 rock musical by John Cameron Mitchell replaces the originally scheduled production of "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson" in RLT's City Series. Directed by Jesse R. Gephart, the play features Chris Maxwell as Hedwig and Lydia D. Kinton as Yitzhak.

Nashville Ballet company dancer Sadie Bo (Harris) Sommer, who has performed with the organization since 2001, will retire at the end of the current performance season, dancing in her final mainstage performance as Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream for a three-day run April 24-26 at TPAC's Andrew Jackson Hall.

HISTORY MATTERS/BACK TO THE FUTURE, a coalition of theatre professionals, announced the winner of the 1st annual Judith Barlow Prize is Selina Fillinger, a student at Northwestern University, who wrote a one-act play inspired by Sophie Treadwell's play Machinal. Ms. Fillinger will receive $2,500, a trip to New York City and a staged reading of her play on Sunday, May 3rd at 3 pm at Helen Mills Theater, 139 West 26th Street, NYC. Award-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant will direct the reading which is free and open to the public.

Labyrinth Theater Company announces casting and creative team for the world premiere of Melissa Ross's Nice Girl. The production, May 7-June 7, reunites the Labyrinth Theater Company member with director Mimi O'Donnell, who worked together on the 2011 production of Thinner Than Water. Thinner Than Water marked both the playwriting debut of Ross and the directorial debut of O'Donnell.
