C4: The Choral Composer/Conductor Collective will present Devotion, the second concert cycle of its 2017-18 Love, Devotion and Water New York season on Thursday, March 8 at 8 PM at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Cathedral, ?113 Remsen Street in Brooklyn Heights and ?Saturday, March 10 at 8 PM at Church of the Holy Apostles, 296 9th Avenue (at 28th Street) in Manhattan.

The Kitchen presents an exhibition and series of performances from time-transcending Afrofuturist musical experimenter and multidisciplinary artist Camae Ayewa, aka Moor Mother. Using soundscape installation, film, collage, and poetry, Ayewa showcases the creative process of her upcoming second Moor Mother album, Analog Fluids of Sonic Black Holes, and its instrumental accompaniment, Sublime Methods of Spiritual Machines, which investigate the idea that every shadow has a history. Her work speaks about ancestral temporality and the embodiment of what remains and lingers: what takes shape and holds in the shadows of the physical world.

Playwrights Horizons, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tim Sanford and Managing Director Leslie Marcus, is proud to announce the six productions of its 2018/2019 Season.  The six new works will be presented at the theater company's home at 416 West 42nd Street. 

Franklin Stage Company, in Franklin, NY is honored to announce that they have been awarded a $40,000 workforce investment grant from the NYS Regional Economic Development Council (REDC). The funds will support wages for executive leadership for one year. The grant will be administered through the NY State Council for the Arts (NYSCA) with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.

Previews began February 7 for a February 13 opening.

Dixon Place (Ellie Covan, Founder and Artistic Director) is pleased to present the world premiere of SPEED QUEEN, written and performed by Pulitzer Prize-nominee Phoebe Legere, and directed by Lissa Moira at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street). The production will preview on March 7, 2018 with press opening on March 9, and performances on March 15, 16, 17, 23 and 24. All performances are at 7:30 PM.

Edward R. Matthews, CEO of ADAPT Community Network announced its 2018 ADAPT Leadership Awards Gala will take place on Thursday, March 8th at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. Judy Woodruff, Anchor and Managing Editor of the PBS NewsHour will host the event.

Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA; Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director) has added a performance (February 8 at 9pm) to its critically lauded world premiere production of Adrienne Kennedy's He Brought Her Heart Back in a Box, directed by Evan Yionoulis. The run will conclude, as a scheduled, on February 11.

Rochester's award-winning PUSH Physical Theatre will take part in an unprecedented concert celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Landmark Society of Western New York on Friday February 23 at 7 p.m. in the historic Hochstein Performance Hall (50 Plymouth Ave. N.)

Pan Asian Repertory Theatre (Tisa Chang, Artistic Producing Director), in tandem with 'Day of Remembrance', opens its 41st season on themes of social justice and historic amnesia with the special return engagement of the acclaimed play NO-NO BOY by Ken Narasaki, based on the groundbreaking novel byJohn Okada. Directed by Ron Nakahara, the cast will feature Leanne Cabrera, Dinh James Doan, Chris Doi, Eric Elizaga, David Huynh, Scott Kitajima, Karen Tsen Lee, Claro de los Reyes, Shigeko Sara Suga, and Tony Vo.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its 2017-18 Kumble Theater season with Daniel Beaty's solo theatrical tour-de-force, Emergency, on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 8pm and Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 3pm.  Originally titled Emergence-SEE when it made its New York premiere at the Public Theater in 2006 under the direction of Kenny Leon, the show has since toured nationally and internationally, earning Beaty a 2007 Obie Award for Writing & Performing and a 2007 AUDELCO Award for Solo Performance.

Repast Baroque Ensemble will be in concert, performing Dresden Fireworks, Friday, March 2 at McKinney Chapel, First Unitarian Church, 116 Pierrepont Street, Brooklyn Heights and Saturday, March 3 at Advent Lutheran Church, 2504 Broadway at 93rd St. in Manhattan - 8:00 PM both evenings.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced casting for THIS FLAT EARTH, the world premiere of a new play by Lindsey Ferrentino(Ugly Lies the Bone, the current Amy and the Orphans). Directed by Tony Award winner Rebecca Taichman (Familiar, Stage Kiss, Milk Like Sugar at Playwrights, Indecent), the play will be the fourth production of the theater company's 2017/2018 Season.

The Drama League (Gabriel Stelian-Shanks, Executive Artistic Director) has announced the theater directors and ensembles chosen to develop new plays and musicals as part of the 2018 Drama League Artist Residency Program. Tulsa Ballet, under the artistic direction of Marcello Angelini, will return to The Joyce Theater with a program of works created specifically for the company, including Glass Figures, a world premiere by Resident Choreographer Ma Cong, from March 6-10. Returning to NYC for the first time since 2009, the company will also perform Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's Shibuya Blues and Helen Pickett's Meoal (Among).
