Moonbox Productions presents William Finn and James Lapine's A NEW BRAIN, Opening 3/15

Moonbox Productions presents A NEW BRAIN, the engaging, life-affirming musical about finding serenity, humor and music, in the face of death. Created by the Tony Award winning team behind Falsettos-composer William Finn (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and librettist James Lapine (Into the Woods, Passion)-the show runs March 15 -April 6, 2013, at the Plaza Theatre at the Boston Center for the Arts. Performances are Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. (Press performance: Sunday, March 17 at 2pm). Betty Buckley, Christopher Durang, and More to Be Inducted Into Theater Hall of Fame

On Monday, January 28, 2013 the Theatre Hall of Fame will welcome its 2013 inductees: Andre Bishop (producer/director), Betty Buckley (actor), Christopher Durang (playwright), Michael Kahn (director), Trevor Nunn (director), Martin Pakledinaz (costume designer), Paula Vogel (playwright), and Sam Waterston (actor). Tyne Daly will act as the Mistress of Ceremonies at the event.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that two-time Tony Award-winning actor Nathan Lane will head the cast of its upcoming production of THE NANCE, a new play by Douglas Carter Beane to be directed by Jack O'Brien. The production will begin previews on Thursday, March 21 and open on Monday, April 15 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45 Street).

The Horton Foote Prizes, named in honor of the legendary writer, were established in 2010 to award excellence in American Theater. Presented last night, the first Horton Foote Prize was awarded to Ruined by Lynn Nottage for Outstanding New American Play and Middletown by Will Eno for Promising New American Play.This year's recipients are David Lindsay-Abaire's GOOD PEOPLE for Outstanding New American Play, along with Naomi Wallace's THE LIQUID PLAIN for Promising New American Play. Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that Michael Aronov, Danny Burstein, Bill Camp, Sean Cullen, Dagmara Dominczyk, Ned Eisenberg, Brad Fleischer, Karl Glusman, Jonathan Hadary, Daniel Jenkins, Danny Mastrogiorgio, Dion Mucciacito, Seth Numrich, Lucas Caleb Rooney, Tony Shalhoub, Yvonne Strahovski and David Wohl will be featured in the 19 member cast of its 75th Anniversary production of the Clifford Odets classic GOLDEN BOY, to be directed by Bartlett Sher, beginning performances Thursday, November 8 and opening Thursday, December 6 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44 Street), the same theatre where the play premiered in 1937. Additional casting for GOLDEN BOY will be announced at a later date.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that it will extend the run of its critically acclaimed production of Amy Herzog's 4000 MILES, directed by Daniel Aukin, for a second time, through Sunday, July 1 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). The original run of the production was extended through Sunday, June 17 after 4000 MILES opened to critical acclaim in early April.

SLOWGIRL, directed by Anne Kauffman, begins performances tonight, June 4, opens Monday, June 18 and runs for six weeks through Sunday, July 15.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that it will extend the run of its critically acclaimed production of Amy Herzog's 4000 MILES, directed by Daniel Aukin, through Sunday, June 17 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). The production, which features Gabriel Ebert, Greta Lee, Mary Louise Wilson and Zoe Winters, began performances March 15, opened on April 2 and originally scheduled to run through Sunday, May 20, had its world premiere last June as a production of LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences. Paige Evans is Artistic Director/LCT3.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that Elizabeth Marvel will return to the cast of its critically acclaimed production of OTHER DESERT CITIES, a new play by Jon Robin Baitz, directed by Joe Mantello, beginning Tuesday, March 6 at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45 Street). Ms. Marvel, who created the role of Brooke Wyeth when OTHER DESERT CITIES premiered at LCT's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater last winter, will join Stockard Channing, Stacy Keach, Judith Light and Justin Kirk in the production, replacing Rachel Griffiths who will play her final performance in the play on Sunday, March 4.
