The Imagen Foundation has announced the nominees for the 29th Annual Imagen (Spanish for “image”) Awards, honoring portrayals of Latinos and Latino cultures in television and film. Leading the pack with 12 was Center Theatre Group (seven for The Nether at the Kirk Douglas Theatre; three for Joe Turner's Come and Gone at the Mark Taper Forum; one for The Scottsboro Boys at the Ahmanson Theatre; and one for The Royale at the Kirk Douglas Theatre). CTG was followed by 3-D Theatricals with five awards (four for Parade and one for Shrek the Musical). The Chance Theater and La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts took home three awards each (including Best Season for La Mirada); Circle X Theatre Company, the Fountain Theatre, and the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble tied with two each. Millions of people across the U.S. got devious -- real Devious - last night when a series high 3.0 million Total Viewers watched the season one finale of Lifetime's hit drama Devious Maids (#DeviousMaids) in a highly competitive environment. In addition to a series best with Total Viewers (a +50% jump versus the program's June 23rd premiere), the drama reached series highs across all of the key demographics, including 1.4 million Adults 18-49 viewers (+69%), 1.3 million Adults 25-54 viewers (+50%), 1.2 million Women 18-49 viewers (+90%) and 1.0 million Women 25-54 viewers (+51%), according to Nielsen Research.

The network has renewed for a second season its hit drama Devious Maids (#DeviousMaids), starring Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramírez, Roselyn Sánchez, Edy Ganem and Judy Reyes, with a 13 episode order, it was announced today by Rob Sharenow, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Lifetime.
