THE HUMANS National Tour Launches Tonight in Seattle

The national tour of the most acclaimed American play in recent memory, The Humans, features Richard Thomas as Erik, Pamela Reed as Deirdre, Daisy Eagan as Brigid, Lauren Klein as Momo, Therese Plaehn as Aimee, and Luis Vega as Richard. The Humans kicks off its coast-to-coast national tour at Seattle Repertory Theatre tonight, November 17, before moving on to engagements in top markets across the United States.

Greater Boston-Area Theaters to Discuss Board-Level Diversity and Inclusion

On Sunday, December 3, 2017, board members, Artistic Directors, and Managing Directors of Actors' Shakespeare Project, Bridge Repertory Company, Central Square Theater, Israeli Stage Company, Lyric Stage Company of Boston, New Repertory Theatre, and Sleeping Weazel will convene to discuss racial diversity and inclusion on the board level of non-profit theaters in the Greater Boston area.

A.R.T. Announces Inaugural 'Run AMOC!' Festival

American Modern Opera Company Launches Next Month

Artistic Directors Matthew Aucoin and Zack Winokur announce the launch of the American Modern Opera Company (AMOC). AMOC, an opera company on a new model, is the artistic home for some of the most innovative young singers, instrumentalists, and dancers active today. At once a traveling theater troupe, new-music ensemble, and artists' collective, AMOC will serve as the incubator and executor of its core members' most ambitious, boundary-pushing projects. AMOC's members share a belief that the creation of meaningful interdisciplinary work requires deep, consistent artistic relationships and close, long-term collaboration. This company, whose developing body of work ranges from intimate duets to evening-length stage works, aims to expand the definition and the reach of opera as we know it.

Design-Focused 'in 1: the podcast' Welcomes GREAT COMET Tony-Winning Lighting Designer, Bradley King

The podcast is back and we're not pulling any punches. Today we sit down with recent Tony Award winner Bradley King to discuss his lighting design for NATASHA PIERRE, AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812. He traces the journey of the design from Ars Nova, where the plot was hardly more than chandeliers and lightbulbs, all the way to his massive, immersive design at the Imperial Theatre.

Michael Urie-Led HAMLET Finds Full Cast at Shakespeare Theatre Company

The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) announces the cast and creative team for Hamlet, directed by STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn and featuring acclaimed actor Michael Urie as the tortured Danish prince. Shakespeare's most celebrated tragedy will run January 16-February 25, 2018 at Sidney Harman Hall.

Edward Watts Goes Green in 'THE GRINCH', Beginning Tonight at The Old Globe

The Old Globe presents its 20th annual production of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas!* The holiday musical will run tonight, November 4, through December 24 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.
