Center Chairman Lawrence L. Higby announced at the 41st Annual Candlelight Concert that Founders Hall would be renamed in honor of longtime Segerstrom Center executive Judith (Judy) O'Dea Morr. Earlier that week, the Center's Board of Directors voted unanimously on the new name of the Judy Morr Theater.

Jeff Pew is currently performing in RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA on Broadway as a member of the Ensemble and an understudy for Prince Topher. In 2015, he will join the cast of the new musical FIRST WIVES CLUB as it heads to Chicago for its pre-Broadway run. As a pianist, Jeff works consistently as an accompanist for American Ballet Theatre and Mark Morris Dance Group. He also has his own YouTube channel with his best friend Luke Hawkins, aptly called 'The Luke and Jeff Show,' which highlights their piano-playing, tap-dancing adventures. He is from San Jose, CA and holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from BYU.

Houston Ballet presents its eleventh annual Jubilee of Dance, a special one-night only performance tonight, December 5, 2014 at 7:00 pm. This year's program will feature the great American ballerina Julie Kent, a principal dancer with New York's American Ballet Theatre, who will make a special guest appearance. Ms. Kent will perform the leading female role in Stanton Welch's Clear (2001), a role she created at the work's premiere in 2001 in New York. Houston Ballet will also pay tribute to beloved first soloist Kelly Myernick, who is retiring after 14 years with the company. The Jubilee of Dance will close the evening with an excerpt of Stanton Welch's high-speed Velocity (2003), a ballet that pays homage to classical conventions in a contemporary manner. The Jubilee of Dance will be held at Wortham Theater Center in downtown Houston. Tickets may be purchased by calling 713 227 2787 or by visiting www.houstonballet.org.

The combined resources of American Ballet Theatre, America's National Ballet Company® and Segerstrom Center, one of the world's leading presenters of dance, will offer unrivaled opportunities for training and nurturing future generations of dancers and dance audiences as well as furthering the development and evolution of dance.
