Segerstrom Center for the Arts has announced its 30th International Dance Series, a season marked with important American, West Coast and Center premieres to be discovered and enjoyed by audiences from throughout Southern California. The distinctive personalities of each company in the Center's 2015 - 2016 International Dance Series come to life, from opulent and classical to daring, bold and contemporary.

ROLEX presents Career Transition For Dancers' 30TH ANNIVERSARY PEARL JUBILEE: A STAR-STUDDED RETROSPECTIVE on Monday, September 28, at 7:00 pm in association with the Lloyd E. Rigler - Lawrence E. Deutsch Foundation, at New York City Center, 131 West 55 Street (btwn. 6 & 7 Aves) NYC followed by 'Supper With The Stars' in the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton New York. Seven World Premieres and More Highlight New York City Ballet's 2015-16 Season

New York City Ballet will open its 2015-16 Season at Lincoln Center tonight, September 22 with eight performances of Peter Martins' production of Tschaikovsky's Swan Lake, through Tuesday, September 29, to launch the Company's 2015 Fall Season, which will continue for four weeks through Sunday, October 18.

The Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts presents American Ballet Theatre in it's third appearance at Bard College on Friday, October 9 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, October 10 at 2 and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, October 11 at 2 p.m. The October weekend program features Alexei Ratmansky's Piano Concerto #1, Paul Taylor's Company B, and a world premiere by Mark Morris, performed in the Fisher Center's stunning Sosnoff Theater. The Actors Fund & Career Transition For Dancers Announce Merger

The boards of The Actors Fund and Career Transition For Dancers announced a merger today of the two non-profit human services organizations, both of which share a mission of providing programs and services to dancers and the dance community.  The merger integrates the services of Career Transition For Dancers into the ongoing programs of The Actors Fund, which helps everyone in need, crisis or transition who works in entertainment and the performing arts.

The KC Ballet Adds New Company Members

 Kansas City Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney today announced the appointment of two new members, Elysa Hotchkiss and Thom Panto, and two new apprentices, Lilliana Hagerman and Naomi Hergott to the Kansas City Ballet Company. Additionally there are 10 new members of Kansas City Ballet's Second Company comprised of KCB II dancers Ivan Braatz, Nikolas Gaifullin, Aaron Steinberg and Goldie Walberg and Trainees Miranda Dafoe, Lindsay Dekleva, Elizabeth Dennen, Melanie Jensen, Zoe Stein, and Kara Troester. High resolution photos can be downloaded here.

Twyla Tharp's 50th Anniversary Tour to Stop at AT&T Performing Arts Center This Fall

TITAS Presents, in association with the AT&T Performing Arts Center, proudly announced today that it is co-commissioning an evening of new work by Twyla Tharp, one of the most important and influential choreographers of our time. The work will premiere in Dallas at the AT&T Performing Arts Center Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House on September 18 and 19, launching Tharp's Fiftieth Anniversary Tour. The 10-week North American tour will celebrate Tharp's five decades of dance-making for both modern and ballet companies, television, the Broadway stage and Hollywood films.

FSPA Launches New Dance Company

The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) introduces the FSPA Dance Company this fall, providing expanded options for students in many disciplines with opportunities to travel to NYC and Walt Disney World for classes and performances. Building upon FSPA's dance training in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop and more, the Dance Company will provide students with the chance to develop their craft and performance experience. There's flexibility for dancers to choose how they'd like to be involved – across which disciplines and with what time commitment. 

Pennsylvania Ballet Announces Charles Askegard and Kyra Nichols as Ballet Masters

Philadelphia, PA (September 15, 2015) – Pennsylvania Ballet and Artistic Director Angel Corella are pleased to announce that Charles Askegard, former Principal Dancer at New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theater, will be joining the Company as Ballet Master. Kyra Nichols, former New York City Ballet Principal Dancer, will also expand her role by becoming a Ballet Master and five new dancers have joined the Company for the 2015-2016 Season.

Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club to Return to Segerstrom Center, 10/11

After 16 years of thrilling audiences around the world, Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club is set to bid 'Adios' with a farewell world tour. The group -- which has been touring the globe in different forms, guises and combinations since 1997 -- will take to the road one final time in 2014/15 with a series of concerts and related cultural events that will celebrate the Orquesta's storied journey as ambassadors for Cuban music.

Stars of DIRTY DANCING & More Set for Broadway Connection Classes in Louisville, Starting 9/18

September 19th kicks off an extensive Broadway Connection season in Louisville with scheduled Master Classes at local studios including Ellen's School of Dance, 360 Dance, Dance 502 and more as they introduce students to Broadway Connection Teachers, Eric Johnson, Jordana Grolnick and Ben Lanham from the cast of CINDERELLA, Amy Quanbeck from the cast of DIRTY DANCING, and later this season, Broadway Connection teachers in WICKED and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
