Ealing Studios' output from the 1940s and 1950s not only helped define what was arguably the golden age of British cinema but also fostered the emergence of talented directors such as ALEXANDER MACKENDRICK (The Ladykillers, The Man in the White Suit). This March, Film Movement Classics celebrates the iconic director with a special double bill featuring two unforgettable Mackendrick comedies - WHISKY GALORE! & THE MAGGIE - along with a host of specially produced bonus features.

Since its launch in 2015, the Film Movement Classics label has been dedicated to seeking out distinctive films of the past from around the globe, and offering these digitally restored classics to cineastes everywhere. Following the recent theatrical releases of FRITZ LANG'S INDIAN EPIC and Bill Forsyth's coming-of-age classic GREGORY'S GIRL and the home entertainment releases of French farce THE MAD ADVENTURES OF RABBI JACOB and King Hu's pioneering wuxia film, THE FATE OF LEE KHAN, Film Movement has acquired a baker's dozen of British classics from the '40s-'60s for Blu-ray and digital release on the Film Movement Classics label beginning this December.

The producers of Sean Foley's hotly anticipated stage adaptation of classic Ealing Studios comedy The Man in the White Suit are delighted to announce that Sue Johnston (The Royle Family, Brookside, Coronation Street) will join the cast for a strictly limited engagement. The British Comedy Award-winning actress will play 'Mrs Watson' from 5th September for three weeks at Theatre Royal Bath prior to nine weeks at the Wyndham's Theatre from 26th September. The world premiere production will then continue its engagement in the West End until 11th January 2020 with further casting to be announced.
