LANCE HORNE - the Emmy Award winning composer, musician, vocalist and producer - will headline a special concert evening at Rockwood Table & Stage in Los Angeles on Tuesday, April 15 at 8:00 PM with guest artists Ricki Lake, Julie Garnye and Lisa Ann Walter, with special surprise stars. They will perform songs from his acclaimed CD First Things Last in addition to a special preview of The Night Before My Wedding, Horne's upcoming collaboration with Neil Gaiman.

REEFER MADNESS, the cult classic with book and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and book and music by Dan Studney which will return to New York City 13 years after it's limited off-Broadway engagement for a one night only concert event at New World, has added Lea Delaria ('Orange is the New Black'), Amy Spanger (Elf, 'Reefer Madness' film), Andrea McArdle (Annie), John Kassir (Reefer Madness), Lesli Margherita (Matilta) and Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked) to it's lineup. Previously announced cast members include Alan Cumming (Cabaret, 'The Good Wife'), Christian Campbell (Reefer Madness), and Thomas Dekker ('The Secret Circle,' 'A Nightmare on Elm Street').

On Monday, March 31, The Broadway at Birdland concert series welcomed composer Lance Horne, along with a bevy of Broadway performers singing his praises and songs. On the heels of his premier with the SF Gay Men's Chorus and appearance at Sydney's Mardis Gras, Lance Horne made his Broadway at Birdland debut with guests including long-time collaborators Alan Cumming, Alice Ripley, Rachel Dratch, Stephen Wallem, Michael Rose, Lea DeLaria, Pamela Bob, and Sarah Shenkkan. The band included Matt Aronoff on bass, John Bollinger on drums and Yair Evnine on cello. This very special concert included highlights from Horne's debut album 'First Things Last,' and several world premiers, including a sneak peak into The Night Before My Wedding, Mr. Horne's collaboration with Neil Gaiman. Urban Stages Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director and producer Peter Napolitano, announced the final week of the World Premiere engagement of Character Man. Jim Brochu's new musical memoir at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street). This limited run will continue through April 6th only. Robert Bartley directs, with musical direction by Carl Haan. The Final Post-Show Talk will take place on Wednesday, April 2nd with Special Guest Karen Mason (Mamma Mia, Sunset Boulevard, Hairspray), moderated by Peter Filichia.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that tonight's preview performance of Cabaret has been cancelled. Alan Cumming, who plays the Emcee, has fallen ill, and since the show is only in its first week of performances, Cumming's understudy hasn't been rehearsed. Performances are expected to resume tomorrow. Subscribers will receive a call to reschedule their tickets and single ticket holders may exchange their tickets from the original point of purchase.

LANCE HORNE - the Emmy Award winning composer, musician, vocalist and producer - will make his Birdland debut with a special concert on Monday, March 31 at 7:00 PM. Lea DeLaria, Joey Arias, Stephen Wallem and Michael Rose have joined the evening as special guests, in addition to the previously-announced Alan Cumming, Alice Ripley and Rachel Dratch. They will perform songs from his acclaimed CD First Things Last in addition to a special preview of The Night Before My Wedding, Horne's upcoming collaboration with Neil Gaiman. Lance will also headline a special concert at Rockwood LA on April 15 with guest stars to be announced and an additional event this spring in San Francisco. He has contributed a movement to Tyler's Suite, a choral song-cycle dedicated to Tyler Clementi, the 18-year-old Rutgers University student that took his life three years ago. The piece, which also includes contributions from Stephen Schwartz, Ann Hampton Callaway and Craig Carnelia, will premiere from the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus on March 25-26. Jessica Stone to Direct The Old Globe's VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE, 5/17-6/22

The Old Globe today announced the creative team of Christopher Durang's Tony Award-winning farce Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which will be directed by Jessica Stone. Stone, who is a frequent collaborator with Old Globe Associate Artist Nicholas Martin, will base this production on his Tony-nominated Broadway direction. Martin had been previously announced to return to San Diego to direct but had to withdraw due to scheduling conflicts. Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will run May 17 - June 22, 2014 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run May 17 - 21. Opening night is May 22 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by subscription only. Single tickets are scheduled to go on sale on Friday, April 4 at 12 noon and will be available online at www.TheOldGlobe.org, by phone at (619) 23-GLOBE, or by visiting the Box Office at 1363 Old Globe Way in Balboa Park.
