If you happened to be in the vicinity of The Town Hall in Seattle last night, and not fortunate enough to be inside, then you may have noticed that the atmosphere was a little cooler, a little sexier, a little more poignant and basically fabulous. Well that's due to the fact that outrageous star of stage and screen Alan Cumming was performing his 'Alan Cumming Sings Happy Songs' cabaret to promote the album of the same name. Menier Chocolate Factory has announced further casting for its major revival of Tom Stoppard's TRAVESTIES. Joining Tom Hollander are: Clare Foster (Cecily), Freddie Fox (Tristan Tzara), Forbes Masson (Lenin), Peter McDonald (James Joyce), Amy Morgan (Gwendolen) and Sarah Quist (Nadya). Patrick Marber directs, and the production opens on 4 October, with previews from 22 September and runs until 19 November. Public booking opens today.
Classic Stage Company has announced that Mirirai Sithole is this year's recipient of the Rosemarie Tichler Fund grant. The Fund was established in 2010 with the mission to assist young actors who have appeared at CSC and who have recently made the transition from their training into the profession. The $3,000 grant can be used by the young artist to continue training or to offset loans they may have incurred while studying their craft. With the grant, CSC hopes to make a difference in the lives of young actors at the start of their careers as well as to heighten awareness in the community to the specific needs of actors.
The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today that tickets for ALAN CUMMING SINGS SAPPY SONGS will go on sale Today, January 29 at 10 a.m. Alan Cumming will perform two shows with his longtime collaborator and Emmy Award-winning musical director Lance Horne and cellist Eleanor Norton at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Today, June 24, 2016 at Dallas City Performance Hall in the Dallas Arts District.

Maberry Theatricals have announced the next two stars and dates for the New York premiere of WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT, the internationally-acclaimed play by Nassim Soleimanpour. Academy Award, Golden Globe & Obie Award-winning actor F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus, "Homeland", It's Only A Play) will perform on July 18 and acclaimed television & stage star Josh Radnor ("How I Met Your Mother", Disgraced) will perform on July 25. WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT makes its New York Premiere in this limited engagement, playing Monday nights at Westside Theatre (407 W 43rd Street). Performances began on March 7.
Michael C. Hall will headline a one-night night only reading of Will Eno's play GNIT, adapted from Henrik Ibsen's PEER GYNT Monday evening, June 20 at 7 pm at CSC (136 East 13th Street) as part of the theater's FIRST LOOK FESTIVAL IBSEN, presented in conjunction with the company current production of PEER GYNT, directed by John Doyle and runs through this Sunday, June 19.
In anticipation of Pride Week, Thank You For Coming Out (TYFCO) is teaming up with Fun Home to hold an improv workshop benefiting the organizations I'm From Driftwood and How We G.L.O.W. Each of the four groups amplify the LGBTQ voice in a different way and aim to promote an understanding among communities. This workshop will encourage empathy, inclusivity and acceptance within the LGBTQ community by using and teaching the ideals of improv - listening, trust, respect, affirmation and connection with each other through the principle of Yes, And. TYFCO and Fun Home's main goal is that both I'm From Driftwood and How We G.L.O.W. can take what they learned back to their organizations and continue to inspire others.
