BroawayWorld recently caught up with stage legend and screen star Betty Buckley, who is preparing to open the world premiere of Ben Andron's debut play, WHITE'S LIES, at New World Stages on Thursday, May 6, 2010.

GPR Records, the new CD label specializing in Broadway, classical, spoken word and children's music, is sponsoring a poetry contest that will take place on Twitter, called TwItsPoetic, to celebrate National Poetry Month and the release of their first CD Poetic License: 100 Poems by 100 Performers.

Lauren Kennedy will perform at The Canal Room on April 4th for a concert entitled 'Lauren Kennedy and the Freakers Ball.' Kennedy will be joined by a number of Broadway veterans, including Julia Burrows, Michelle Kinney, Alan Campbell, Gina Stewart, and Max Von Essen. The concert will begin at 8:00pm.

The CD will be released on April 2nd in celebration of National Poetry Month and will be available on Amazon.com and on itunes. Broadway vet Leslie Becker will perform a host of Broadway classics and modern tunes in her cabaret, 'All I Do is Sing' at Don't Tell Mama. The performance will take place February 28th at 9:30pm. Becker will perform songs by John Kander and Fred Ebb, Andrew Lippa, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Maury Yeston, Irving Berlin, and more.

Pioneer Theatre Company presents the father of all courtroom dramas, Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose (stage version by Sherman S. Sergel). The show runs from February 12th through February 27th. The show will feature Broadway vets Alan Campbell and Lou Liberatore.
