Universal Pictures' TOWER HEIST is coming to theaters on November 4, 2011. The action, adventure comedy stars Ben Stiller, Alan Alda , Eddie Murphy, Gabourey Sidibe, Michael Pena, Téa Leoni, Nina Arianda, Casey Affleck, Judd Hirsch and Matthew Broderick.

The world premiere of acclaimed actor/writer Alan Alda's Radiance: The Passion of Marie Curie, a bioplay about the passions and conflicts of the first woman to be awarded a Nobel Prize, will feature Anna Gunn as the title character. Gunn has previously appeared at the Geffen Playhouse in the world premiere of Donald Margulies' Time Stands Still and is most recognized by television audiences for her role on AMC's Breaking Bad. Joining Gunn on stage is John de Lancie, best known to Star Trek fans as 'Q,' and acclaimed stage actors Hugo Armstrong, Dan Donohue, Leonard Kelly-Young, Natacha Roi and Sarah Zimmerman. Helmed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan, Radiance: The Passion of Marie Curie opens in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse on November 9, 2011.

Diane Hill and Barbie Amann Weisserman, both of Farmington Hills, are now making their dream come true, providing opportunities for women in theatre while promoting female artists and artisans. This season they will preside over two shows: 'The Odd Couple' (female version) by Neil Simon (Nov. 4-27) and 'Same Time Next Year' by Bernard Slade (Feb. 3-26 of 2012).

Suffolk University and Boston Playwrights' Theatre present Robert Brustein's Mortal Terror, directed by Daniela Varon from September 15 through October 2 at the Modern Theatre at Suffolk University, 525 Washington Street, Boston.

Laura Benanti might be soon appearing on NBC's 'THe Playboy Club,' but she will first make an appearance in an upcoming episode of Showtime's 'The Big C,' where she stars as the wife of Alan Alda. As the powerful second season of THE BIG C draws to a shocking conclusion on Monday, September 26th, SHOWTIME has picked up a third season of the critically-acclaimed comedy series starring Laura Linney as a reserved, suburban wife/mother/teacher whose terminal cancer diagnosis forces her to shake up her life and find the light side of a dark situation. Ten new episodes will go into production starting early next year for debut in the second quarter of 2012. THE BIG C is created and written by Darlene Hunt, who serves as executive producer, along with showrunner Jenny Bicks, Laura Linney, Neal H. Moritz and Vivian Cannon. It is produced by Sony Pictures Television.

Suffolk University and Boston Playwrights' Theatre present Robert Brustein's Mortal Terror, directed by Daniela Varon from September 15 through October 2 at the Modern Theatre at Suffolk University, 525 Washington Street, Boston.

Lainie Kazan, Elliott Gould, Richard Kind, Ian Alda, Keith Robinson, and Andrea Bowen join Jonathan Bennett, Jamie Lynn Sigler, and Nadia Bjorlin to round out the cast of the romantic comedy DIVORCE INVITATION. This project will mark critically acclaimed Indian director S.V. Krishna Reddy's U.S. directorial debut. Krishna Reddy, Bala Rajasekharuni, and Robert Naturman wrote the screenplay. Venkat will produce with Ram serving as an executive producer. M.S.P. Srinivas Reddy is co-producer. Shooting will commence this month in Los Angeles.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater has announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of The Wood, a new play written by award-winning filmmaker Dan Klores.

The newly imagined Broadway production of ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER starring Grammy and Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Harry Connick, Jr. will open on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at The St James Theatre. According to the NY Times, Jessie Muellerwill star opposite Harry Connick, Jr. as Melinda Wells in the revival. Additionally, David Turner, will play gay florist David Gamble in the production.

Tower Heist is an upcoming 2011 crime comedy film directed by Brett Ratner and starring Ben Stiller, Casey Affleck, Matthew Broderick, Eddie Murphy, Alan Alda, Michael Pena, Tea Leoni and Gabourey Sidibe. Produced by Imagine Entertainment and Red Hour Films, it is scheduled for release on November 4, 2011 by Universal Pictures in the US and Momentum Pictures in the UK.

Street Theatre Company presents the musical Free to be...You and Me July 15-30, featuring over 20 area youth directed by Bakari King. The show is the culmination of a free five-week youth program, thanks in part to a generous grant from the Nashville Predators Foundation and a partnership with the Tulip Street United Methodist Church. During the camp, the young actors work with local professional artists including Cathy Street, Elaina Shaver and King.
