Jacob's Pillow announces today that Executive Director Ella Baff will soon present the fourth annual Jacob's Pillow Dance Award to Bill T. Jones, acclaimed choreographer, co-founder, and artistic director of Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Tony Award winner for Spring Awakening, and director of the current Broadway hit FELA! The Jacob's Pillow Dance Award honors outstanding visionary artists and carries a prize of $25,000, one of the largest cash awards in the dance industry, to be used by the choreographer to enhance their artistry in any way they choose.

Performance artist and juggling diva SARA FELDER stars in a new solo comedy A Queer Divine, performed at five different locations throughout Philadelphia beginning April 15 through April 26. A whimsical and moving reflection on art, grief and revelation, A Queer Divine also examines the symbiotic role of audience and artist and the communal art of performance.

Career Transition For Dancers is proud to announce an additional gift for The Sono Osato Scholarship Program for Graduate Studies. Through the generosity of Ms. Osato, her scholarship program is now endowed for a total of $1.25 million. This $250,000 gift is a one-to-one matching grant for the 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee year of CTFD, with half toward the scholarship program and the other half for general operating.

American Ballet Theatre's 2010 Spring Season at the Metropolitan Opera House, May 17-July 10, will celebrate the Company's 70th Anniversary with a tribute to legendary ballerina Alicia Alonso and the 30th Anniversary of Natalia Makarova's production of La Bayadère. American Ballet Theatre will dedicate its performances at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., January 26-31, 2010, to the memory of Ballet Mistress Georgina Parkinson, who passed away in December. A beloved friend and colleague, Ms. Parkinson held the title of Ballet Mistress with ABT for more than 30 years.

Actor and dancer James Mitchell who most notably played tycoon Palmer Cortlandt on the daytime soap opera 'All My Children' for more than 30 years has passed away at the age of 89.
