5 Guys Chillin' is a graphic, gripping, funny and frank verbatim drama exposing the gay chill-out scene, and will now be playing late night dates through November as part of our new writing festival #Festival45. This summer, the King's Head Theatre is proud to present I Went To a Fabulous Party..., a new play by debut writer And Davies, both at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and at its Islington home. The play looks at the generational differences presented by the gay community, with a cast age-range of 20 years. A warm, funny, moving, honest play about being a gay man in 2015 in the UK, it explores the superficial nature of dating apps, the need for good looks and fab abs, and the most challenging coming out of all, to yourself!

The King's Head Theatre has announced the 2015 Adrian Pagan Award. This year the award is open to anyone who has not had work professionally produced more than once. The Award was set up in memory of stage manager turned playwright Adrian Pagan. We are looking for a good story, well told, that communicates bold ideas, is relevant to our times, and engages in some way with the live nature of theatre. The winning writer's script will be produced at the King's Head Theatre. Deadline for submissions is 10.00AM on 2 February 2015.

One year after opening the new 50-seat venue above the The Hope & Anchor Pub, it was announced today by Adam Spreadbury-Maher, Artistic Director, that the King's Head Theatre has appointed Matthew Parker to take on the venue as the new Artistic Director from October 2014.
